Keane calls for Man U clear-out
http://foxsports.news.com.au/story/0,86 ... 10,00.html

Quote:
(Commenting in ManU's latest game against Boro, a 4-1 defeat)...

"There is talk about putting this right in January and bringing players in," Keane told MUTV according to the Daily Mirror. "We should be doing the opposite – we should be getting rid of people in January."

England defender Rio Ferdinand was one of the team-mates Keane singled out for criticism.

"Just because you are paid £120,000 ($285,500) a week and play well for 20 minutes against Tottenham, you think you are a superstar," said Keane.

"The younger players have been let down by some of the more experienced ones – they are not leading. There is a shortage of characters.

Seems as if we're not the only club with overpaid stars.

Well, with any luck ManU's problems will last for a while yet, but hopefully, with recent developments ours are almost all behind us. Hopefully.

But, man, we need leaders to develop inside our club ... AND FAST!

Keanes claim on the leadership stakes is kicking chunks out of Alfie Haarlands knee..and then writing a book to gloat about the incident and how he wanted to cripple him.
Alfie was never the same again...

Keane is a piece of sh*t and always will be. What a weak bastard gloating about crippling him, he certainly wasn't doing that when Jamie Carragher squared up to him a few years ago and threatened to "tear his throat out of his 'effin neck!" He ran away like a little bitch :-D

The fact that Man Utd. are relying on getting him back at his age shows how much trouble they're in.

Ditto to Ducks and Synbads comments....Roy Keane is a poor excuse for a pro sportsman...

Hands off Keano!!

Absolute superstar and tough as nails! Not scared to call it as he sees it and not too scared to put overpaid and underperforming nancy boys back in their place. He is the EPL equivalent of what we have all been screaming out for at Carlton for 5 years now. Somebody hard as nails, super skilled, can take a game apart and has immense leadership. Unfortunately age is catching up with him but you can guarantee that he will turn up as a manager somewhere in the future.

I'm not sure what has happened to sir Alex, but some of the prima donnas that he has poncing about at the moment deserve a good rocket from Keano, and I'm a ManU fan (unless you couldnt tell already).

Carragher is a good honest player, but never was or will be in Keane's class ( I know that Carragher is a central defender/right back). I dont think Kean gloated about Alfie Haarland's knee. He talks like that about everything. I loved reading the stuff he said about Mick McCarthy after being sent home from the last WC. If he thinks somebody is a soft shite and deserves a bit of a knock, then he will stand up and say it. If Carragher stood up to him and squared up, then good on him, that is the way the game should be played, give and get as good back!!!

We all love Michael Voss in the AFL for being tough and calling it as he sees it. Voss is supposedly the best sledger in the game, how is Keane any different. Keane over the years has been one of the few blokes in any team that could virtually pick up the whole team and carry it on his own shoulders. It's called leadership and maybe because we are Carlton supporters we have forgotten what it looks like!

Keane's a thug. Great to see the place imploding. Go the Russian's Blues!!

Kean loves a cheap shot.

With the football at his feet, brilliant. Wrecking a fellow sportsman's career with a deliberatly violent tackle, and gloating about it to sell a few books... absolutely deplorable.

To compare him to Voss is a slight on Michael Voss. Voss is regarded by his peers as a tough, fierce but fair competitor. Sledging doesn't impact on a bloke's ability to run again. You don't hear about Michael Voss being a dirty player, he's widely respected.

Roy Keane is a thug, who happens to have amazing football ability. An ornament to the game of football though, he is not.

If he was such a brilliant leader why did he abandon his national side just weeks prior to a World Cup (2002)? He didn't get along with the manager. That's a leader? That's a fuck1ng prima donna, that is.

Christiano Ronaldo might not be showing much leadership potential either.

Captain Keane is a United Legend. The rest of the squad need to pull thier heads in and remember which team they are playing for.

The Greatest.

Besides Carlton

Keano is a thug. Top player, but Thug.

His comments on Rio are spot on. Rio is simply a glory boy who thinks his sh't dont stink. He was made to look very ordinary against Boro.

And ATM he is behing Terry, Cambell and King in the English race.

It must be tough for Rio having to cry himself to sleep on top of a huge pile of money every night!!! Unfortunately, at the moment, aside from Van Nistelrooy and possibly Rooney, he has a lot of company in the 'out of sorts' brigade.

Every time I have doubted Sir Alex he has pulled something out of the hat, now if we can just get some $$$ out of the Glazers for the January transfer market.
