Collingwood finished last in 1999. (Got 1st draft pick) Carlton finished last in 2002. (Got no early draft picks) Collingwood finished 15th in 2000. (started promisingly, faded badly) Carlton finished 15th in 2003. (started promisingly, faded badly) Collingwood 9th in 2001. Carlton 11th in 2004. Collingwood thrashed in all Wizard cup games, then made day GF in 2002 Carlton won Wizard cup and .......... in 2005. |

Melbourne, finished last in 1997, made the GF in 2000. Brisbane, finished last in 1998, made the GF in 2001. Collingwood, finished last in 1999, made the GF in 2002. St Kilda, finished last in 2000, finished 11th in 2003. 
Fremantle, finished last in 2001, finished 9th in 2004. 
Carlton, finished last in 2002, made the GF in...

Whoa... this reminds me... What was that whole theory of the team that won the premiership losing it 100 years on...? Aren't we next in line to finish runners up? Can anyone dig that up? It was freaky reading that thing last year... |

Nah. Brisbane's got to lose it again this year before - and I pray to the God Ken Hunter that this doesn't happen - we lose 3 straight GFs.
