I would like to see Mike Fitzpatrick take a break from his money making activities and give it a go one day...maybe David Mckay could give him a hand as head of the MC....Peter Dean can assistant coach and we get SOS back for the defenders.... |

There is one outstanding individual who has done considerable work behind the scenes in fundraising, who would do the job and do it brilliantly. He is a high energy person, with great people skills, and strong corporate background. He is a sponsor, owner of meduim sized company which he has built from nothing to the leader in his field. Totally passionate about the club and interested in the role. Does not have a high profile in the media, but would be as good an ambassador as you could get. Has people lobbying behind the scenes on his behalf but does not want his name publicised unless he is annointed. Whoever it may be - please none of the current board!!! |

Hopefully no one from the current board. I doubt Swan will be with us much longer. Reckon Kenny might stick around for awhile yet. Not sure about the rest. As I said earlier in the week, if we are going to vote in anyone can we not vote in Graham Smorgon. As JohnM pointed out he isn't a people person. |

If this person is as outstanding as you describe Speedy (and I do believe you) what would stop him from being "annointed"? My reading is that Collo: 1. Wants to hang onto the job for a while longer yet. He likes the profile, and likes the perks. He will publicly and privately say he will step down when a successor is found - but in reality he does not want anyone to look too hard for a successor at the moment. 2. My feeling is that the person of which I speak does not have the public profile Collo (and a couple of the other board members) want. They believe we need to have a high profile person, who can give the club immediate newsworthyness. I would settle for someone with a plan, with passion, with leadership ability, and who can comunicate. |

The outstanding qualities you say he has would then give him a very good chance of victory I would’ve thought. If no-one else emerges as a candidate to force the issue I urge this mystery person to have a go. Collo's time is up imo. |
