It was reported in yesterdays Herald-Sun that a board challenge is upon a Melbourne based club that will "not be pretty". IMO we can safely rule out the following clubs: Collingwood Essendon* Geelong Bulldogs Kangaroos St Kilda So that leaves Hawthorn Melbourne Richmond Carlton Can anyone rule us out of this equation? |

Geez thats all we need, another challange. I know that the board is looking for some new people, but I do not think that a spill is on the cards. |

So I'm assuming people will be standing down who were against the decision to keep Fev and Whitnall or didn't like the treatment of Campo? Let me guess Sticks will stand down? I don't mind if there is inhouse brawling, at least that is a sign of passion, I'll be happy if it is dealt with the right way and not become another media beat up. |

Noth as sinsiter as that MJ, just normal turnover I believe and given that the annual meeting is not until March, there is planty of time for any decisions to be made. |

A bit of this and a bit of that... but I am getting signals.... I think some of the 'old money' behind the Club is finally seeking to act on their grievances rather than complain behind closed doors. A number of our larger contributors have apparently stopped contributing, some because of appointing Pagan 3 years ago, some because of decisions since, and well, the thought of another 2 years on the bottom may be stirring them into action. None of this is from a real source, just a feel from a few different sources. |

As long as it is a clean transition whatever takes place. I hate those 4 line articles in the media, always leads to a huge media beat up and bad publicity for the club concerned. |

Old money, maybe Max Grattan's grandpa won lotto. There's only one bloke with enough cash to save us now and that's Richard Pratt or the lady who wrote Harry Potter. Simo or Bentick could play Harry and Campo the evil character, Murphy could be a good wizard come to save us from picking blokes cause they are tall , are good at fartleks and beep tests and have good motors, just have the foot control of a shopping trolley. |

I just hope something is done about Collo. We can't continue to have this conflict of interest between him as Pres and running TD. The club needs to be fully transparent, or be seen to be fully transparent before we can honestly ask top tier players to take pay cuts. |

How is Collo's role at TD even remotely linked to players taking paycuts? ![]() |

They can add him if they wish, there is space but i suspect someone will stand down. Also I thought that he was being looked at to be President when he stands down in a year or so. |

Also I thought that he was being looked at to be President when he stands down in a year or so. Not sure where you are getting your information from BM. I doubt that Mr Fahour will be looking to stand down in 2 years but instead would fancy himself in the MD /CEO position, if and when John Stewart steps aside. At 39 i would think he has a bit of time ahead of him.Having had a fair idea of the demands on a Senior Banking Executive, any talk of a combination of the roles are rather fanciful. It constantly amazes me, that anyone publicized as a Carlton supporter at a senior Corporate level is immediately earmarked for a Board position. The truth is, that the reason why they are so successful, is because they are TOTALLY involved in their businesses. |
