Had Justin held it then no contest but the two best were of contrasting styles.

Matty Lappin's effort - on the backline  - reminded me of that mark he took in his very first game at Carlton against Essendon*.

Luke Livingston's - couldn't find a better contested mark on the last line. As the commentators said on the replay Silvagniesque. :D

If Walker had have held his, it would be contender for mark of the year.

Loved Skinny's!

Livo's strong bodywork to take the mark on the last line was a fantastic sign for things to come.

And is it just me who thinks Fev is actually getting stronger, yet more nimble with his body? Some of his marks, especially the one-handers were awesome! Although you gotta feel for the Weagles defender who copped Fev's heel in the Jatz Crackers as Fev stuck out the foot to keep him away. Brought tears to the eyes, both in sympathy, and elation!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Mark of the night IMHO goes to Livo, one on one in the goal square with Lynch he outbodied and outmarked him at a critical stage, while not spectacular it was highly significant at the point in the game. Stand up young fella and take a bow :D

I thought another excellent mark was Gardiner's grab in the last q (I think). He is gonna have an unreal season.
But why am I talking about WC? Carlton wins the GF and I'm Lappin it up!!

Livo's mark was my favourite, but not the flashiest. Crucial grab!

The important thing is we are starting to take so many marks around the ground, which is assisting with the long-kicking game plan. 2 years ago Brad Fisher was pretty much our only player who could consistently take a contested mark. Now we are taking them all over the ground.

Prenda and French are two guys in particular who have really stepped up and started taking crucial grabs.

Livo's was the best.

I always feel for the battler, and he's been under the pump for a long time.

To take that mark, when he did, showed great strength, character and guile.

Brought a tear to my eye.

That one mark will have done more for his confidence and self-esteem than anything Pagan has said in the past 2 years IMHO. :D :D :D

Livo's mark was awesome. And what made it better is that Lynch is a very big and strong unit and Livo held his own. Well done Luke! :D

That's one hell of a leap...Jesaulenko would have been proud of that one...

Pity he didn't take it, he almost had it. Where I was watching, the roar that went up when he made the jump was amazing...

Gee, a few of our boys got up high on Saturday night!!
Lappin took a ripper and got up even higher on his next
attempt but dropped it. Teague tried his best to reach for the
stars but it slipped out also. But the best of the night would have
to be Davies soaring over that pack, that would have been one
ripper of a grab......

Davies will hold onto one some time this year. Although he's not a 'lair', he's got a touch of the Russell Robertson's about him.
