I had my doubts about Justin Davies but he may have just about turned the corner. His defensive pressure in the forwardline was utterly brilliant tonight. He has stopped making those stupid mistakes with his disposal and is well on his way to cementing a regular spot in the 22.

Some of his tackling was absolutely first rate and he gets the big pat on the back from me. It's a shame he didn't take that HUGE grab he flew for. It was almost the Sampi mark from 2004 revisited.

Wel done Juzzy. Keep up the effort from here on in.

Regards Cazzesman

Totally agree C-Man. I thought Davies was all class tonight. He showed some phenomenal peripheral vision and had a hand in at least 2-3 goals tonight. His little handball off to Fev in the last quarter was pure cheek.

If he can cure his tendency to disappear at times he might just cement himself a spot after all.

Davies this week and last week was sensational. Wirrapunda was killing us mopping up the crumbs in the first quarter, then Davies made him accountable. I jumped back on his bandwagon towards the end of last year, as he was showing signs then, but look out 2005 he has arrived with the rest of youngsters.

Has contributed very well in the Wiz Cup. Along with others such as Carrazzo, Simpson etc can continue to improve as they might have the confidence to know that they can play at this level.

The development of a number of our youngsters was a highlight of the pre season comp for me. And has nearly jogged me out of the gloom of the draft picks that we have missed out on. We are lookin' good for the future.

Obviously only saw the tv but his body on body positioning was briliant. He has bulked up admitedly but the way he used his body was great. Had some doubts and really thought he was only ever going to be a f pocket specialist but im wrong. This kid will cause alot of headaches as will our entire list :P :P :P :P :P :P

Never doubted him Caz. Reckon Davo just needs to be given time - he'll get better and better. His efforts in the 2nd were absolutely brilliant - took wirra out of the game and set us up. Clever, brave and jeez i wish he had have held that mark!

About 2 hours earlier in the Charles Dickens I consigned Davies to 22 games for the bullants this year.

So I hereby take all credit for his game.

Boy did he turn it on, he certantly done the number 7 some justice and me thinks that Justin would have to been inspired as he realised that the former number 7 was watching in the stands and wanted to make him proud. Can he follow the greats who have worn it before it and turn it on in the big games.

Juzzys defensive pressure was awesome and his tackling created goals. Smart footballer and if he improves his kicking should have a massive role for us.

Had my doubts about Davo.
He was brilliant last night.
His efforts in the forward line were sensational.

Let's all hope he can keep it up.

Ditto, i had my doubts, but he was in my top 5. Precise hands and heck, if he'd taken the mark he flew for, it would have been a competitor for mark of the 21st century, he went higher than Sampi and was 4 deep...

Clem there is a fantastic picture of the attempt in the Hun. Did all the hard stuff but just couldn't bring it down.

Loved his tackle in the last quarter - bone-jarring and forced the turnover. Great to see him with more muscle and more intensity.

We had plenty who did plenty last night, but i reckon it was Davos 2nd quarter that turned things heavily in our favour. Not an eye catching player, but one who has a quiet impact. No excitement machine, but a player with a deft touch that has a lethal effect.Bit of a quiet achiever our Justin. The much maligned Shano had the happy knack of picking players with a touch of pizzaz that needs time to develop. No overnight sensations in his lot,but wonderfull long term prospects.
