He's been shown the door by 2 clubs, so you have to say he's struggling a bit.

As people maybe but I don't know enough about their work to say so. All I know is that TD has been sacked twice and those guys havn't had the chop yet.

Yeah, but it was clearly TD's fault that the Saints didn't win the flag. I mean, he was the only new bloke, so it had to be his fault.

Perhaps it was his that the pies lost aswell. I don't think it's any coinsidence that 2 clubs have given him the Kyber and that Essendon* also didn't fight too hard to keep him in the first place.

As much i hate those scum Essendon* Terry Daniher was a great player and leader. Collingwood had to blame someone so they blamed him while St Kilda are St Kilda, loses i reckon Terry Daniher would do a better job then what we have by a long mile.

Apparently Fergus Watts demanded that TD be moved on before he set foot in the club....

Was hearing an interesting discuuion on SEN by Billy who said that he could not figure it out. When TD was at collinwood Tarrent had his best years, since he left he has had 2 bad years. Likwise at St Kilda, he is the forward coach and they have a great forward structure.

Would love to know the full story.

on sports today last night it was suggested that TD was viewed as not having the strategic nous. ie. he was viewed as the saints as being a good fella but not much more

Actually he has been at the club for two years not one. The first year he was the forwards coach but this year he was the coach of the back half.

Get with it guys, or don't post if you have to make it up as you go.

T D was a very successful coach at wagga tigers, his best attribute being his ability to bond players as a group. He was then recruited by the dons in the late nineties while the bombers were rebuilding, winning a flag in 2000, then on to the pies while they were cellar dwellers and contributed to their back to back runners up before malthouse wanted his arse licker Mckenna with him then onto the saints when they were mid table or lower and has been with them on their rise to power. Hey do we see a pattern here? Maybe, just maybe we need bonding as a unit ourselves, you could say that we were not the most confident group going around this year and he could be just the answer? I'm sure he would be as good as Barry Mitchell as a forward coach and since the duck has gone to the pies, I think maybe we could give it a go. We would have nothing to lose really.

Officially speaking, the saints said that they wanted to make some changes to go forward and that TD was one of those changes.

Off the record I have heard that TD was moved on because... well he is described as being able to teach to a point but can't go any further.

The truth is prbly b/w the 2

Am personally very sad to see him go. Was a very nice man to have around the club... always friendly and brought this sort of "family feeling" about the club.
