A report in the Herald Sun has indicated that Lance will be offered 350k which is the same $$ as previously offered except they have removed the club has remover the performance criteria. If this story is true then the people on the board we have elected and the people they have employed are a buch of bumbling idiots.

I will try again. The club has removed the performance criteria in his contract.

Just CHILL OUT everyone! I'm sure the club are just positioning themselves to maximise Lance's value next week. He will be traded & hopefully for a 1st round pick. :)

Back to the topic at hand...

I still believe Lance will leave. Sure the club is rumoured to have removed the performance based part of his new contract but they still haven't increased the moolah which is what he wants.

Quote:
But the club hasn't increased the dollars and an offer of about $350,000 a season is there if Whitnall signs.

He's held firm on 400K and I doubt he will settle for less now. The only way he will get it is if the club caves into him.

Yesterday we were told he was now being offered $380K by Carlton and $450K by Melbourne.

Today it's $350K again but no performance component.

So which one is it?

Or is it something else entirely? :?

That has been very annoying, GWS, and it goes to show that you really can't trust what the media or anyone who comes on here and claims they have a source and know what is going on.

Next week is going to be a very long week.

If Lance is serious about staying, he'll sign before the end of the weekend. If we go into next week with him unsigned it means that he wants to be traded. The club won't want negotiations with Lance over the trade week, they'll have too much else to do, and Lance and his manager would know this.

You would have to suspect that with no announcement (or leak) coming out of the club by Saturday night that Lance is leaning towards a trade.

No news is good news for everyone wanting Lance gone, and i reckon the signs are pointing towards a trade.

Wasn't there something about Lance returning from OS before things are finalised? Has that happened?..

My GUESS is that there will be very few trades, as everyone is wary of trades and WE just don't have that much to trade with.

In the last few years it has seemed that the trades are getting fewer and fewer and the Grant?Shwass trades aren't happening anymore...gut intinct anyway...I haven't researched the stats

Ok...do I need to change my avatar or what?

Gee you go away for a few weeks and evrything changes...there's even a bizarro-Synbad on the board!
