• We can stop all the "Lance is worth..." threads and posts. • We'll know whether we're stuck with Cancereale or not • The football department can get on with plannin 2006 and most importantly.... • Synbad will stop drinking and go back to being his usual ornery, argumentative, condescending, patronising, annoying self that we all love. |

Synbad you are now sounding boring. Mate go back to your argumentative self. Seriously I enjoy your debates, and your realistic views. You are always flower spot on. Moderators of this site, let people debate its what this site is all about. As long as there is no swearing etc. We have all had long years...................... Tempers are at an all time high. Whoever else is with me say 'yah'. I am bored with all this sudden agreeing. |

If Lance is traded all the Lance lovers will say "Told you so" whenever he has a 1/2 decent game at his new club. If he stays all the Lance tradeists will say "Told you so" if he doesn't live up to his salary. The Fev haters will continue to whine about his attitude and how he sucks because he didn't know who Jezza was when drafted. If Houlihan is at the club next year people will still call for him to be drawn and quartered. Livo will still be derided because he had the temerity to be picked at number 4. The Paganophobes will proclaim loudly that he's lost the players after the first successive defeats next season, which could well be rounds one and two with our list. There'll be more than a few negative Nellies who will announce that Setanta isn't up to football and should be shipped back to Ireland after he makes his first blunder at senior level despite the fact that it will be something acutely minor in comparison to the Kouta kick the wrong way that resulted in a Pies goal a couple of years ago. A handful of Elliott lovers will still voice their opinion that the club would be so much better off with him at the helm. People love to whinge, and if it wasn't for the non-football forums I doubt whether I could withstand the overwhelming negativity on this site. |

Until Carlton start winning some games again the ultra-whingers will have their time in the sun. I miss frank dardew. ![]() I'm interested to know what both of you are expecting. We have just won our second wooden spoon in 4 years. Unless I am mistaken we are averaging about 6 wins per year in that time. Would you like us all to hang around some of these non football forums and stick our head in the sand? Guess what. We have major problems. Our list is clearly the worst in the AFL. We need to review every part of our club. The supporters and that includes those here are entitled to their opinion. Without those people who whinge and give a stuff about Carlton, there would be no Carlton. We saw what happens when supporters get complacent 4 years ago. Never let that happen again. I support any member asking questions about the players, coaches, board, contracts, finances...anything. You see that as "overly negative", I think you're just having a whinge. ![]() |

Spot on Blue Vain, we are entitled to whinge. If we supporters did not whinge we would still have John Ellliott. That was the power of the supporter who orchestrated that. Who knows we may even need to do that again ? We are a proud supporter and see what is happening now is not good enough. Other clubs supporters like St Kilda or Geelong, will say at least we did better this year than the last. This is why they are unsuccessful. |

BV, I am only speaking for myself here, but your views are always great to read. It is hyperbole I am talking about. Criticism is great. Overhyped diatribe and unwarranted negativity is crap to read, just like ridiculous positivity and blinkered views. Balance is the key, and understandably, because it is just before trade week and the Blues are going through their worst patch in history the extremists on the negative side are yelling loudest at the moment. BV, you are not an extremist, if only everyone were like you. |

If you see that as whinging, I disagree. When I know in advance almost exactly what the content of someone's post will be purely by reading the name attached I think it's gone well beyond "asking questions". |

The power of the supporters. ![]() The members stood by and let Elliot almost destroy the club. The current situation we are in is also partly due to members sitting on their hands for too many years thinking Elliot was doing a great job. We turned into a club of sycophants, and if we are not too careful we will over-react and turn into a club of reactionaries. As supporters we must be forever questioning the administration and football department, but we must get the balance right. |
