The excitment of this weeks game will be tempered by the fact that this is last game I wll get to see with my bestest football buddy CanadaBlue. Unfortunatly she has to return home to Canada for at least six months.
CanadaBlue arrived in Australia during the 2001 finals and quickly adopted the Blues as her team. Over the last three years she has been as loyal as any life long supporter and was there during Black Friday, the coup and the many terrible defeats we have suffered.
As a football buddy she is the best, knows a fair bit about the game, tolerates my at times overly enthusastic cheering and was a shoulder to cry on when we lost. CanadaBlue loves Houla.
Reknown for her shopping prowess, particularly her ability to 'clean' out the Carlton shop on a regular basis, CanadaBlues departure will have a significant impact on the clubs bottomline.
I am gonna miss going my footy buddy, while her main regret is that she is going just when we are coming good.
