Greetings Earthlings, Welcome to the next installment of club swapsies. Carlton to West Coast 1992, Mid-Season, Pick 13, Damian Hampson, 6 games - nice obscure one there. West Coast to Carlton 1995, Pre-Season, Pick 13, Matt Clape, 58 games - great pick-up, 31 goals in 1995 and 19 possessions in the GF meant Clape was an important part of the line up. Could not repeat the dose in the years after but has a premiership medal to show for his time at the blues. Of course our most recent pick-up has been Callum Chambers, all the signs so far indicate he will also be a valuable pick up. What about pre-draft and pre West Coast days? Who do you think were Carlton's best ever players from Western Australia? Who were some of our obscure WA players? |

Ern Henfry - appointed captain of Carlton directly from playing senior football in WA. (circa 1946). |

Ern Henfry and Mike Fitzpatrick - 2 premiership captains would be the standouts. The 80's provided some good players as well. Peter Bosustow, Ross Ditchburn, Warren Ralph, Wayne Blackwell, Jon Dorotich and of course the only 2 Carlton players to make the WA team of the Century...Syd Jackson and Ken Hunter. |

1992, National, Pick 118, Scott Spalding, Perth, WAFL, 1 game - has the honour of being Carlton's highest ever draft pick. We are starting to assemble a pretty good team of WA players. Others can probably position these players better, but it is a start. FB Blackwell HB Henfry(?), Dorotich, Ditchburn C Jackson, Chambers, HF Hunter, E Spalding, Clape FF Bosustow, Ralph, Hunter R Fitzpatrick, |

Let's have Richard Dennis on a flank thanks. Oh and perhaps Steve da Rui lurking somewhere near, well, the bench... |
