ive been quietly thinking that bananaby has been doing a pretty good job of late, maybe its due to the influence of big Harry.

Seriously though good on him, I knew he had it in him it was just a matter of time before we all saw it.

Harry is a quality person, and a quality Carlton man.

agree - i think his form over the last 3 games has been pretty impressive.

He beat the bummers - but they dont really have any decent rucks

He beat White - who i rate highly as a ruckmen

he beat Darcy - who i rate highly as a ruckmen (he did play upforward abit)

but not so much his rucking, but also his ability to get around the ground has been impressive as well.

good on him i say, he has been the lone ruckmen for a while and has never shirked the fact, and for that i wish him all the success that is coming his way.

besides, whats good for bananaby is good for Carlton :D

That's the truth, as a 16 year old Carlton fan in 1991, I bumped into Harry on Bourke Street, up the top end. He was wearing a suit and had just been to some sort of business lunch. I said hello, he was an absolute gentleman. Wished I had asked for the autograph... he was at the height of his game then too...

My all time second favourite ever player, behind big Sticks of course...

Bec obviously likes her men to be BIG men...

I'm stoked that Harry has been helping out. I'm not entirely surprised, as I always thought he'd need some r&r away from the madhouse of parliament. I met Harry a few years back and talked to him about taking photos of his projects he designed when he worked as an architect, but the 99 election sort of put the kybosh on that. He's a great guy.

Still love the story from the 95 GF, when the all-in started on half-time. When Roy & HG questioned him as to why he was the only player not involved (if you look in the background, he can be seen walking slowly to the rooms), he said something like: "Well, it was half-time, I was pretty tired by then."
