Was listening to SEN this morning whilst the Captain and Campo were in the studio. It was great listening to the boys and them having a go at Billy over the 95 flag!!!
But I was interested to hear that The Footy Show will be showing a new version of the Bulger show in a police style comedy and in that Fev will be playing a pimp character and that most of the shooting for this has already been finished.

Will be interesting to see Denis' reaction when it goes on the air. I hope Brendan doesn't have too many bad runs because I can see the spotlight falling on him hard ala Crawford if it does awry

If that is the case, I can't see a problem.

Never gave a shit about players being on the footy show.

It's probably a 4-6 hour a week committment at most I'd guess.

Players spend enough bloody time thinking about footy, training, playing, interviews etc etc. A few hours a week isn't going to upset their focus, hurt their game, or anything like that in my opinion.

If anything, it's good for a volatile player like Fev to have some structure outside of footy. Time spent in the studio is time not spent on the piss (Maybe Billy excepted), time not spent with fire extinguishers, and time not spent watching bold and the beautiful on the couch.

For a simplistic argument, Fevola's best year as a footballer was last year - a year when he started appearing on the footy show.

Keep it up Fev. I've no concerns about his focus at all.

agree BH - craf was probably a little different as he was the "writer" for the show, but Fev at most would be a couple of hours a week and something like that could be a handy distraction from the pressures that are footy.

Maybe they could get big Karl in the show as well :D

To put it simply, if he performs on the field their will be no problem. The time aspect is not an issue. Its only an issue that crap media journos beat up when they have noting else. Even Hirdy appears on Bulger MD and he never gets any crap for that.

I dont mind if Fevs is on the Footy show but I get sick of him being portrayed as the village idiot.

Won't be the only one on TFS tomorrow. Johnno & Walker will be displaying their musical talents!

According to Dermie, both were very good.
Especially Walker.
Apparently he has an amazing voice.
Will definitely watch the show just for this.

Fev as a pimp?

That would explain that sleazy looking bit of fluff on the end of his chin.

Very Huggy Bear-ish.

Easily solved, Fev just has to walk over and punch Trevor Marmalade in the nose when he's being a smart-arse. I'd like to see that.
