Daniel McConnell? How's he going? In-line for debut this year? Maybe we can steal him back.

That's the one.
Played the whole Wizard Cup so far and will line up on Saturday night in the forward line.
I'd expect Teague or one of the medium sized defenders to line up on him.

Got in the best players against the Dockers, did a few good things against the Pies. Not sure how he went against the Roos.

Yeah Karl may line up on him.
Depends if he is still in the side.
Perhaps even Digby if DeLuca is given more game time this week.

After Clape and Chambers, do you have any more players you want to release to play in a flag?

Great article.
I'll definitely be watching his career with interest.

Unfortunately I am in Perth for a wedding this weekend, so I am going to be inundated with them. I'll be sitting in a pub full of weagles wearing the Navy Blue, can;t wait for it. Normally, West Australians are at the top of the nice list; far nicer than Victorians or Sydneysiders, and on average, taller, fitter and better looking. So I am not sure how to bag them..

'Your players are so good looking'
'You guys are the fittest; we're a pack of slugs'

these really don't work. I try and point out how racist they are generally, but they believe it's with good reason.

In a footy sense, we can argue that we won our last premiership since their last one, but its only a year in it. You could point out that they changed their colours to more closely match our Blue, but that's pretty pissweak.

The only footy player to go back on to their list was Damian Hampson I think, but he didn't last long. Lots of ex-Carlton players tried out in the west, Merro is still there, but they didn't make it from memory.

Instead of arguing footy, I normally just rely on the standard WA jibes:

'You're so far away from anywhere'
'Is Perth part of Australia?'
'Where is Bondy these days?'

Being married to one as well, i acknowledge its a difficult ask. Happy to take hints if anyone has a good line or 2.
