Who out there in Blue Bagger land really believe's that Lance is in for a big year.

On the Back of a couple of Wizzie Cup Games, or are you dreading a fall from fitness and form?

And before you start I know that the Saints supposedly had the feelers out for him during Draft Week.

But is this what was needed to put him into line?

I remember Wayne. Wayne was a big kid, not too bright, who came from a 'funny' family. We all knew about Wayne. Sometimes I'd go to Wayne's house. Not very often 'cos it could be a dangerous thingto do depending on if Wayne's dad came home or one of his three elder brothers was up for a bit of fun.

But I went sometimes.

Didn't do much at Wayne's house. Wayne loved to sit near his backdoor hidden behind a bush with his air rifle and he'd take pot shots at all these different birds, sometimes killing fifteen or so in an afternoon.
I think the only time i saw wayne's face light up was when he killed on of those damn birfds, or worse injured one. It sickened me and made me feel sorry for the kid.

I didn't say much, Wayne was a bloody big kid, but every time I left his house I felt sad and dirty. Sadly, regretfully, I even took some shots myself... sometimes, not often, Wayne was not much at sharing at the best of times.

After a time I didn't go to Wayne's house anymore. Not 'cos of his dad, not 'cos of his brothers but because Wayne was boring in his need to take pot shots day after day.

Sometimesa when the sun sort of catches my eyelids and I get that hazy, warm feeling and red spots flicker behind my eyelids I might think of Wayne and I might wonder where he has got to, what's become of the big lug with no personality and the habit of shooting birds.

Now I am beginning to suspect......

It was an honest question we all know the hassles he has had in the past

Just wondering what you lot thought at this time.

When someone mentions Wayne it wouldn't be Carey?

So come on tell me where Lance is in your thoughts

LL,

The fact that Lance was being bandied around during Trade Week must have been the biggest eye opener for him.
His dad played with Carlton and I'm sure if he had been traded he would have failed his dad in terms of making a career at the same club his old man did.
It was either shape up or ship out.

For the moment, Lance has shaped up and is looking alright.
Time will tell if he can keep it up and not rest on his laurels.

If Red stays fit and continues to present himself as an option he will have a good season. His past of injuries, weight issues etc does not alter his footy smarts and he is smart on the ground. ( The baggin of red was due to the disappoint of him not performin to the level we required he is only 26. in general thats a big mans peak time)

If all goes to his plan he will be the most damaging CHF in the AFL.

Personally I have to admit I am dreading things going bad for Lance. He has had a crap run with injury. Remember the days when we used to rail at Fevola because the only impact he had on the field was on Lance's shoulder.

Anyway, i feel Lance's form so far this year looks too good to be true. I don't want to be a jinx by thinking it can last.
