A huge reality check,, in both wet and dry. Disappointing, still Hawthorn's bunnies unfortunately. |

Why was Holland's brought in for Acres Makes no sense. Losing Hewett was huge We needed bigger bodies having 6 first year players on a night like that was always going to cost us. 98 tackles you can't deny the effort we just lacked class. Sent from my SM-F956B using Tapatalk |

Sent from my SM-F956B using Tapatalk Acres and Hewett were exactly what we needed tonight. I thought Riley and Byrne showed strength for first year players. The above is all relative. Relative to a wet game. I’m not reading too much into this, other than, as expected, we are not as strong bodied as Hawks. We are a young side. |

There’s only so much allowance we can give Kemp. He needs to go back to VFL to find some hunger and confidence. Not sure if Ison needs more games at AFL level. Have to see who is knocking on the door to replace him |

Next week will tell us more. Goal is to make a wildcard and hopefully win one game. Hawthorn, Lions, and Freo are a bit ahead but it's not as if we are winning a flag. Our goal is to beat the sides around us. Tonight we didn't show the hard, gritty fight, never say die fight we have shown other recent weeks. We gave up too easily, especially after Ison missed a shot to put us within 14pts. We may not be as good as Hawthorn but we aren't close to that far behind, as we showed tonight, either. When you chuck it in, like we disappointingly did, you get hammered. They put 44 pts on us in about 35 to 40 min of football. |

Moir can replace Ison. |

Miserable game. We lack speed and wet conditions made it look even worse. That play of Will Day striding out of the middle in the 4th Usain Bolt like was something we dream of. |

Umpires were putrid in the first half. Shocking. See Fox commentators and football people. 2 nd half umpires continued to confuse us all. Hawks forwards literally given unwarranted frees and kicked goals from them. |

Not for me. I’d prefer to put as many scorers out there as possible - hence Ison & Byrne staying in and Moir coming in to join them. |

Why not play our existing, proven scorers closer to goal? |
