Tim English has been ruled out with concussion, per coach Beveridge. |

Great news Now all we need is for Bont to be rested ,Naughton to knock himself out going for a hanger , Ed Richard to pop his hamstring again and Dale to put his boots on the wrong feet and we could be in with a big chance Sent from my SM-F956B using Tapatalk |

are they going at 100% with English and 0% without? Can't remember... but I watched a couple of their No English games and they were inept. If they don't have a couple of their key defenders back, H could have a huge game - as long as we don't do something stupid like put him back to full time FF duties

Watching the amazing VFL performance, who comes in? Is Ison ready? Personally I’d hold him back until maybe the Essendon* game right before the bye. Acres dominated and deserves a recall but for who? Flynn Young surely, surely comes in for Evans. |

Pitto must be suffering the effects of the injury, started season well (60% caveat) but been putrid since returning. If we're going one ruck plus H, Reidy has earned a chance today. Don't want H as first ruck, the benefits wear off if he hardly gets any time up forward. F Young wasn't great today. Evans has been disappointing with his set shots but his F50 entries earn him a reprieve. Acres was very good but I'd rather he be senior leadership in the 2s for this season, only promoted in case of injury crisis. I like him, but he doesn't give us what we need to develop our fast ball movement game. Chesser I'd like to see in the AFL side later in the year, but let him keep developing his midfield game in the 2s for the next month or two. |

I'm a fan of Kemp but he needs to get his head straight. Last night's misses were so deflating to the team. He just undoes everyone's hard work with poor kicking skills. B: Florent, L Young, Cowan HB: Newman, Weitering, Cera C: Wilson, Cripps, O Hollands HF: McKay, McGovern, Carroll F: Hayward, Derksen, Ainsworth Foll: Pitto, Smith, Walsh Int: Williams, Hewitt, Dean, Evans, Kemp I'm dropping Saad and Haynes. Young has to come in to give Weitering a chop out. Young to take Naughton. Harry to play high up the ground. Weitering to play high up to distribute further up the ground. I want Wilson using his pace through the middle and Carroll hitting targets lace out inside 50. I want someone to lock down/tag Bailey Dale. Maybe Cera if he swapped with Derksen. Just make Dales life a misery. He is their driving force. The Doggies have been running on fumes, so they are truly getable. Regards Cazzesman |

One great ruck trumps 2 average rucks or an average ruck and an average forward ruck. I know a lot of people don’t value the ruck since Grigg won a flag at the Tigers but the trend now is two rucks if you’ve got two competitive rucks. At least one great ruck who can ruck 80% is Gold. Pitto since returning after only one week rest from a broken hand has been a bit of a liability in the middle. In every game this year the oppositions goal streak has been sourced from CB. It’s a killer. Pitto shouldn’t be playing. We are desperate. Reidy was crap today. Harry can’t give us an advantage. Lucky we are up against a novice next week. Pitto can take him for 60% and Harry should be too experienced for him. |

I’m not sure I agree that we need LYoung in this week. Doggies have a small KP forward line. I think Harry and Kemp can get on top of their KP (Buku ) as well.Having said that, I’m sure we’ll be bringing Lewis back in this week now.

I'm not a huge Lewis fan but I'm sick of seeing Weits sitting on the goal line and then trailing his opponent to the contest by 5 metres. Naughton will kill him for speed. Capt Obviously will say it is all about the delivery he gets from the Doggies midfield, and I get that. I just want to see Weiters getting the ball on defensive 50 and then kicking it 50 to some running wingers. I want him to quarterback and direct; not be the dour defender he has had to become. If Lewis takes Naughton, then Dean can take Will Lewis. Big game for Pitto. He has to dictate in the centre square. If Bont and Richards burst away from stoppages it will be a tough night. Never a better chance to get a W. Regards Cazzesman |

Give him a weeks rest . |

Blond hair, Warner or Henney? Naughton jumped almost straight ip vertically and didn't rotate even 1º in the marking contest but then got rotated 180º straight after ?Warner hit him below the waist. I was surprised nobody in the media or commenters calling the game bothered to mention it, people have been given frees against and possibly fines(?) for dangerous play for that kind of thing in the past. I guess nobody in AFL-land wants to Warner or Henney criticised or potentially rubbed out and lose their Brownlow cache. My mate who used to play says it's part of the no-dobbing culture of footy commentary. bloody fluke Naughton didn't cop a career ending injury the way he landed on his neck. |

Derksen for Kemp?! A bit optimistic i know, but as @Cazzesman said, just so deflating when he undoes all the team momentum with missed ‘easy’ shots. I'm by no means a Kemp hater, and thought he's been the difference up forward for some games this year, giving Gov and H a break from double manning contests and kicking some very good goals. The commentators give him more of a wrap that anybody on this forum that's for sure! Wasn't he drafted as a big bodied mid? Does he have the tank to be onball when some of our young VFL forwards become seniors? He's almost got a Hugh McCluggage type physique, and reasonably mobile. he gets back into the defence at times probably when his opponent goes forward but ive never seen him play like a mid. Possibility? Saad didn't do much, and that Q4 HB over the shoulder was a shocker but who would you bring in for him? Wilson seemed out of his depth. Do they play sink or swim with him again or give him another 8 games in the twos to build his awareness? Cowan was only just ok. Florent, got a lot of it, coughed a lot of it. For a territory team ineffective kicking from the D50 is ok (Fly just said in his presser that Collingwood took AFL's most ineffective kicking team stat in their flag year) but we are trying to be much more than a dour territory team these days. Of the mid/small defenders, I thought Newman was the only one who was any good against Lions. I like the consistency he still brings each week. The rest of them were emblematic of CFC 2026 in their number of unforced errors, poor disposal, tackles that didn't sick, half-hearted running, lack of system in the fist half etc etc. |

I had him in the best 3 in a 100+ pt win. Around the ground and at centre he was dominant. What didn't you like about his VfL game Bondi? |
