I think he has made the right decision. He is paid an ample amount to play football, more than your 'average' wage.

Family would understand this, and he would have consulted with them for some time.

Just hope we can win and make it worthwhile, otherwise will be a very hollow feeling fo him.

There is no one on God's green Earth that spells it Micheal. It is Michael and there is no other spelling accepted. 8)

Cant say that im unhappy to have him playing on saturday ..... but i think its a really strange decision.

I'd understand if it were a final or grand final during the regular season .... but the Wizz Fizz cup???????

I just hope it wasn't pressure from Collo (and others) that forced his hand.... that would be wrong for the young man.

:?

am quite surprised!

this may sound ridiculous, but i was actually looking forward to seeing how we'd go without him!

Never, ever in doubt that he would play.

Some say it is only a Wizzer Cup final, but in context of what the playing group is about, it is a vital game in re-establishing some respect and credibility within the competition.

Unreal.
All of a sudden we are looking a bit better.
Am a bit more confident now.

Totally agree Mark.
Had some Saint supporter at TAFE tell me this morning that the Wizard Cup Grand Final means nothing, yet I'm positive she would have been going nuts when the Saints got in last year and ended up winning it.

This match means everything to Carlton.
Win, lose or draw, we will be all the better for it.

Strange decision. As Pagan said, family will be around long after the footy has gone.

Besides, with Stevens in the team, the Blues will lose value at the TAB ;)

Great news Stevens is playing as he has the best interests of the club at heart, and sees that a win and the $220,00 purse is hugely important to our rebuilding. Make him Captain!

I hear Stevens chose not to go because he did not want to support anachronistic heterosexual practices and patriarchal hegemony.

A Grand final lasts a life time... how long to marriages last... 2-3 years?

Good decision, Nick.
