Distinct from the Brad Moran award, where a dud player records the single standout game of their career against Carlton, a "Birthday Player" is one who may be generally decent or even good, but enjoys a day out every time they play Carlton.
North Melbourne has Paul Curtis who averages 1.25 goals per game over his career vs 2.17 against the Blues. Marks are at 3.42 career vs 4.5 Blues as well.
Of other current players only Sheezel has a notable bump in any stat, averaging ~5 more disposals a game vs Carlton.
Neither hold a candle to Lindsay Thomas though, 1.55 career average goals vs 3.5 against Carlton.
Maybe it's because Carlton has been the most pathetic team to play against over their careers?
