Good to gather ourselves after the Dees got a bit of momentum in the third.

Cowan, Carroll, Moir all played well.

Every 4 points to us annoys Hawthorn

As well as death riding Drug Cheats that’s the other thing we can enjoy for the rest of the year.

Have we got one of their picks or is that just general death riding?

All 3 played well, but Carroll was outstanding. Let's hope that we don't stuff him around if he has a bad one here or there. The kid is a talent.

Beat a team (just) that are very much like us
Out dated game plan. Poor kicking. Over use the ball. Have talent but underperforming
Surprised how happy I am. Winning is good

I wasn't that dirty on May but it'll be interesting to see what happens. I thought he chose not to deviate but he didn't choose to bump. The ball was right in front of him.

That said, it was good to see him go off with a sore head after the TDK mark

Gawn said post-game this loss hurt the most this year, they must be itching to beat us.

He actually has a concussion and won't play next week!

I feel bad for Evans because he wasn't completely shit before getting his face re-arranged.

Nice to win. Happy for Moir, Carroll, Cowan and HoF. Some nice moments for F Young too. Thought it was Evans best game in Snrs too

Well done, boys. Looking forward to watching the replay. I've been Curnow's harshest critic but fair play, he has put in a big effort these past couple of weeks and reaped the reward tonight. And big breakout games for Moir and Carroll, just goes to show our recruiters and list manager there's no substitute for footy skills.

watched the first quarter, went out to a family day at birmingham dogs home, then watched the highlights

we should have been 5-6 goals up at quarter time, but our entries into the 50 were bush league quality at best

wonderful to see how happy curnow was for young to get his goal, then the rest of the team - there is some spirit there after all

nice to see tdk clean up may too

this win will put a smile on a lot of faces, mine included, but thankfully it wont paper over the cracks and deficiencies like other wins have in the past

we are a bottom 8 team for now with a lot of work ahead to be in a window, and we only beat another bottom 8 team, but this felt like a win, not a loss like the games against the eagles and druggies did

i'm wrapted for the win, even more wrapted for the kids coming through

Pros:

Accuracy. Funny how much easier it is to win when you're more accurate than your opponent.
Carroll. Probably worst on the ground last week, and best on the ground this week. That's a huge effort from a young player.
Moir, Charlie, Cowan, Cripps, Weitering, Pittonet, Oli.
Rarely stars, but Lord usually offers a good contribution. Developing nicely.
Had a good run with the umps.

Cons:

We continue to kick the ball over the head of our leading forwards. We need to spend a summer working on that. Most important kick in the game, and we've failed consistently at it this year.
We seem to know how to control Gawn's influence, but we continue to get burnt by Pickett. Would love the coaches (and players) to show they can learn from experience.
I know conditions contributed, but another game where our players struggled to find a lot of ball. Against Port Adelaide only 1 player got over 20 disposals (Hewett got 21). This week it was only 2 (Cripps got 29 and Cerra got 20). Hard to believe that's possible the way the game's played.
Our small forwards don't contribute enough. Only 2 tackles in forward 50.
Needed more or better from Saad, Hewett, Cerra, Fogarty, White, Motlop, Haynes.

Orange socks every week now.
Melbourne are our bitches.
Good to finally get a win.
Didn't roll over when they came at us.

Pressure is off so players are playing with a bit of freedom. Hope we back this up next week and take a top 8 scalp.

Carroll's best game for the club and Moir will be a player.
Glad to get another match into HOF.
Solid performances from Cowan and Lord.

Not to put a dampener on things. Not sure who was playing on picket. During call were saying voss had indicated picker would have a lot of work put into him. Id expect 3 Brown low votes.

Smelksham barely got a touch after a bright start which was nice.

Different incidences but May similar to the infamous Wiggins suspension. There was not a lot he could do other than completely stop.
