norf are truly terrible. clarkson has set them back into the dark ages. they shoulda got a young coach to build the list and the belief and grow together etc ... we were good. we attack the ball like that every game, we'll win more than we lose. |

As mentioned in the game thread, one of the most impressive aspects of the game is how after surrendering momentum in the 2Q, we came out after the break reading their midfield to perfection, intercepting and breaking up their handball chains. Then with our small forwards applying elite pressure and a previously unseen level of skill and goal sense, Norf had no answer. At the other end, I don't recall them getting a F50 contested mark, and they only had a couple of marks of any description that I can remember. Perhaps the 4 tall defender / 4+ small forward approach is starting to bear fruit? One thing is for sure, the match committee was right and I was wrong about selecting Young ahead of Pitto. TDK is ready to beat the Xerris of the world, and Young played a blinder. Durdin, Carroll, White, Motlop, Lord... the kids are alright! Special mention also to Zac Williams, often maligned and with good reason, but he was brilliant today after some good performances the last couple of weeks. 3 votes George Hewett, as per. |

Pros: Pressure. 83 tackles. 14 goals from small forwards. Accuracy. Hewett, TDK and Cerra. Loved Cripps tackling with intent. Durdin's early impact. Encouraging again from White and Carroll. Hopefully Motlop's now overcome the yips. Good to see Lij back in the team. Young did his job. Cons: Quietish games from Cripps, Walsh and Fogarty. Curnow probably should have kicked a bag. He's been a bit wasteful in front of goal. McGovern overran the ball a couple of times early. |

Great win. Small forwards doing their job and plus some. Durdin is back. Our midfield led by Hewett and Cerra just demolished North. TdK is officially the best ruck in the game. Behind the eight ball but if we play like that we’ll play finals. |

Really thought north would be a big improver this year but my god they were woeful. That said, our pressure was immense all game and forced them into a lot of turnovers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

@#$%&! I hope this is the one that takes Clarkson out. I was travelling so only saw the last quarter. You can only smash what's in front of you I guess but they were putrid. |

In a demolition like that I can’t help place more weighting to the first half performances when the game was at its hottest. TDK v Xerri . TDK with added strength has some tricks Hewett vs AFL AA team candidates. Smart, too stronger, incredible power through the whole corso Durdin His presence following last week added forward pressure It’s contagious. Cerra. Hot hot hot. Will get better. Playing within himself. Walsh. Ditto. He is playing a hard selfless game Cripps. AA form continues but playing a selfless role and that goal. fMD Curnow is back. 4.3 and unselfish role in others. Should’ve kicked 6. McKay without him the pressure is now not on him. He comes in and plays a role Carroll. My boy Carrol. He’s added class. That ability to control the weighting and trajectory of his kick. Young was the glue. His awkwardness is weird but his athletic prowess obvious. He was in everything. I think Young just had a Good Friday. Ollie White Lord all kids who will continue to get stronger. Heart and endeavour of these young bodies creates things…pace, harassing speed connection and plenty of accidents. They are keepers. Defence was defense again. Kept opponent below 100 for 6th game in a row. Bottle the confidence this game gave the team. Two weeks in a row isn’t an accident |
