Let them win by 100 Points.... it means nothing to us. The Damage is Done. We are out of the Finals and in a Deep Deep Hole.

I wouldn’t let him play. Let his mates down 3 weeks in a row.

Season is Gone... Play the Kids and leave them in there... Bring in the rest, even those that have not been performing.....Who Cares!!

Knowing how Vossy operates, next week will be like this:

In: Evans

Out: Moir, Lord

Dry weather might help a bit, our fumblers need all the help they can get. The heat might cure the frostbite that I assume Gov got in his fingers climbing Everest in the off season.

Out: McGovern Fogarty Cowan (inj) Moir Docherty
In: Durdin Carroll Boyd E.Hollands Binns

Love Fog but our attack has too many converted defenders or defensively minded players; we need more attacking instinct. I've gone with Elijah on the assumption his reserves run-out is anywhere close to standard. We need at least one of him or Fantasia in the team.

Been clinging to the memory of Gov because of his erstwhile kicking skills, but Haynes showed enough last week that I reckon he and Boyd can give us... well, not good D50 exits, just less terrible. Whatever. I don't feel like defence is our problem right now, it's everything else.

Docherty is perhaps stiff but he's emblematic of our depressing decline and needs to make way for hope.

No need for wholesale changes.
But we can give non performers a chance to get their breath back in the VFL...pity they have a bye next weekend.

Pity about Cowans hammy. He looked good in the first 15 mins, and wouldn't need to add Carroll to backline if fit and just drop Gov
... unless Doc is dropped after his 27 disposal, 9 marks 6 intercepts 670m gained on a wet night ... he wasn't in the top 10 worst on ground.

Carroll >>> Gov ... if Carroll plays really well tonight
Cottrell >> Moir
Hollands >> Motlop ...if Hollands plays really well tonight
McKay >> Young ... would prefer Young ahead of Kemp, but Kemp playing KPF2 earned him some credits which paper over his ability to be 3rd tall imo
Durdin >> Fogarty

O. Hollands back on the wing. A bit too light to defend stronger opponents in backline imo
Docherty is so far ahead of Fog and Motlop, and feel he should go back to fill Hollands and Cowan hole.

Acres had 11 kicks and 19 hballs at 56% Def. That's not good, despite his disposal efficiency improving on previous weeks... he's a liability imo. Doc is miles ahead in terms of form and output compared to Acres imo. Motlop and Fog have not only had low disposal numbers, the efficiency of those disposals is around 50% and no goals from either.

I'm not saying Motlop wont make it, but gifting him games isnt helpful for him or the team. I have no favourites. Form or developmet for me.They aren't in form and I feel ball watching isn't good for their development.

I thought Acres was one of our be-... one of our least worst against Collingwood. I'll give him votes when the mvp thread goes up. DEf% still too low but he defended well and was strong in the contest. He's getting back to his true self, definitely not one for the axe. OK, I will relent on Doc given that someone needs to fill the Cowan role, which happens to be Doc's best.

Hello Dodo allow me introduce myself I am Michael Voss currently head coach of the Carlton football club. Since the age of 5 my entire life has centred around football. I am a 3 time premiership captain, a brownlow medallist.
Currently in my 4th year in my 2nd stint at Senior coaching after a not so successful 1st attempt.
My first year at Carlton we missed the finals by a kick ,my 2nd year we made the preliminary final, my 4th year we made the finals but injured players cruelled our season.
This year hasn't started so good we are 4 and 0 and the outside noise is starting to take affect.
We have West Coast this week it's a good chance to get a Win. Lose and fans will be waiting for us at the airport with pitch forks and baseball bats.
My entire life has been about football and it all could come to an end if we lose this game.

What shall I do.

I know Dodo and others like Keogh said I should play the kids. Who cares if they are not ready not shown enough or just plain useless. Let's play them we have nothing to lose except my entire life.
Let's do it.

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BE GAINED by dropping White and Moir...What are we telling the kids, "you've had your one game, are ya happy, now piss off back to the ressies"

There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO LOSE in dropping McG and Doc...what can we tell them, well, "you've been shithouse and conditional all year, go and see what it's like to play off Broadway for a while, you might appreciate what you've lost a bit more"

PS. With Doc, try and get him to retire...as someone else suggested, do the honorable thing and free up a list spot!!!
