Might have been an ingrown hair on his back and infection travelled down to his ankle when it rained.

Charlie Curnow has had knee surgery today to remove a screw in his knee causing discomfort. He will be back running next week, full training in 2 weeks. Might miss round one but a definite for round two. Richmond is round one, so Blues could be cautious.

Injury Update: Pre-season

Carlton forward Charlie Curnow will remain on track to feature in the opening rounds of the season after having a minor procedure today.
By Carlton Media
Just now

CARLTON forward Charlie Curnow will remain on track to feature in the opening rounds of the season after having a minor procedure today.

This procedure allowed for the removal of a screw that is no longer required from an old knee injury, which the Club was able to identify as the cause of a small level of discomfort for Curnow over the last week.

The Club has been able to move quickly to have it corrected to ensure there will be no ongoing impact for Curnow once the season begins.

Due to the minor nature of the surgery, Curnow will be able to recommence running within the week, full training in the coming weeks and be available to play in either Rounds 1 or 2.

Charlie Curnow (knee)

Modified program
Availability: Rounds 1 or 2
Back running within the week, full training in the coming weeks

Jack Silvagni (knee)

Full training

Sam Walsh (hamstring)

Ben Camporeale (ankle)

Modified program

Matt Duffy (knee)

Integrating into full training
Availability: 3-4 weeks

Rob Monahan (groin)

I wonder why they didn't remove the screw during his previous knee 'minor procedure' in December?

What do you want to know?

That the guy who’s had more knee ops than hot dinners has got a degenerative issue?

They’ve been telling us that for 18 months now.

Play the 1.7 million dollar man forward as 2nd tall and Pitto can ruck until Charlie is good to go most likely round 10 onwards.

TDK can still do ruck when Pitto goes to bench and Harry can be stay at home forward

Play TDK ruck and play Lemmey forward.

TDK is on the verge of being the best ruckman in the league and Pitto is barely AFL standard. Don’t create a second problem to fix the first one
