30 years since a flag.

New season.

New excitement.

New disappointments.

New players.

New coaches?

Will be interesting.

Honestly beyond giving a @#$%&!.

Sorry everyone but this club is breaking me.

I have no idea why we are so pathologicaly [REDACTED] but we are and I’m really struggling with how to be a St Kilda type footy fan.

I think the secret is to live for the failures of others... come to think of it, I think I've been there for some time.

Worst thing about season being over is that that's when I get sucked back into TalkingStuff. In past years I'd turn my attention to EPL but the middle eastern power politics have ruined that.

Time to find a hobby I guess. Might join a bushland volunteer gang or something...

Vegetable gardening is good for the soul.

I trust Cincotta will be able to get over this week's disappointment, and take his game to the next level.

Some brave list decisions are needed to get this group beyond a middle of the road team. Speed and kicking skills. That is all.

Brian Cook needs to be ruthless. But once again I wonder if his heart is still in it or just topping up super?

Breaks my heart, but I’m resigned to never seeing another flag in my lifetime.

Hope against hope that my son does though.

Its a bit like red shawshank redemption. Last time we won a flag I was at the game and an up and coming young man. Now I'm an old bogan living in brisbogan

It's gonna make our 30 year reunion for 95 pretty awkward. Basically celebrating a drought

New coach with a game plan
New coach who will give some kids a game
New coach who can select a team on performance not names
New coach who can tell some players that their services will not be needed next year

2025 is the final year of current contracts for the following:

Adam Cerra
Adam Saad
Alex Cincotta
Billy Wilson
Brodie Kemp
Cooper Lord
George Hewett
Harry Lemmey
Jack Silvagni
Jacob Weitering

Jesse Motlop
Matthew Kennedy
Mitch McGovern
Nic Newman
Orazio Fantasia
Rob Monahan
Sam Docherty
Tom De Koning

Some interesting decisions to be made. Highlighted yellow are UFA's. TDK is a restricted free agent.

That's a long list. There's a few players who'd want to have a better year next year.

i'm not sure as a club we've got the bolas to do such things. we're ultra conservative, we worry too much about what the media will say, and our biggest worry of all is the almighty dollar - memberships.
