There's just too much time for thinking and too many injuries to worry about between the final round and the first final.

No over analysis here.
I say keep it simple.
If the medical staff say he's OK to play, then I have no concerns and no worries (that is until they come off the ground injured! )

Now I only have to worry about Charlie, Martin, Harry, Williams, McGovern, C Durdin, and TDK.

If the boys are passed fit, then they should be selected to play Finals ahead of the novices who are still developing imo

These are not development games. The west coast and Saints games were.

I keep forgetting Durdin has his hand up to play.

I would pick him in a heart beat if fitter than last game vs Saints.

Which hand does he have up?

Is it the one with the good shoulder or the bung shoulder?

According to BF it sounds like Charlie and TDK won't play.
So it's now down to Martin, Harry, Williams, McGovern and C Durdin.
I know hindsight is a wonderful thing however it was pretty dumb to play Charlie against Hawthorn.

Hope it's wrong, because that's no good re Charlie if true.

I wasn't expecting TDK to play but really hoping Harry & Charlie would, given Payne will be underdone himself.

Love it GWS!

Durdin looking fit at training, but how strong is that shoulder?
Strong enough to hold up in a Final?

I don't think its repairable and requires surgery. But I'm just guessing.

I hope he is fit to play, and it doesn't get hurt like he did vs Saints when someone simply grabbed him by the arm.

Charlie injured his ankle just before the bounce vs GWS. He played that game along with every other game till Hawks.
He should have been looked after the minute he did his ankle. We were sitting 2nd at the time.

I’m really torn about our situation.

Rank underdogs so the external pressure is off. I suspect internally we still have high hopes/expectations, as we should. We’ve proved our best is pretty bloody good and ranks with the best in the comp.

Injury situation sucks but it is what it is. I don’t see a middle ground. It will either be an absolute blessing or a complete disaster.

Clearly hope it’s the former.

Given we pretty much lost every game in that run, it's spot on. Imagine we gave him the month off from that point. Maybe misses 5 games then hits the end of the season refreshed and fully fit and we're in exactly the same position as we ended up, anyway. Hindsight is 20/20 though
