Everything not to do with on field in here.

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles in here.

Let's hope this thread is busy all the way to the big dance!

Me, I've got Iron Maiden in Melbourne in week 1 so I don't think I'll be getting to the Gabba. Reckon I'll do a road trip to Sydney if we make week 2.

Especially in Brisbane, time to turn that around.

I'm sure flight prices have just tripled - $500+ one way

I just booked a flight out of Melbourne on the 10am for $238.
There’s still some early morning flights available in the $230 - $270 range if you go the Jetstar/Cirgin websites.

Should I book my accommodation in parramatta for week 2 now or wait?

Nothing under $300 Saturday on Virgin.

I'd love to go but it's just gonna cost too much. Pity it's not Adelaide or Sydney which are driveable.

for the second week of finals - if we get that far - the Sydney Marathon is happening over that weekend so a lot of accommodation may already be booked out.

Luckily I have flights and hotel for that weekend, will be a bonus if we are playing a final up there at the same time!

And apparently their ten minute blocks are a steal!

How can you be sure of getting a ticket when booking airfares?

I'm also in the 'drive to Sydney' week 2 brigade. My sister lives there so accommodation isn't an issue.

Carlton function and ticket packages on sale now - $250.

Pre-game function at Plough Inn and guaranteed Cat 2 Reserved ticket - easiest way to go unless you wanna take your chances in the member sale or general public sale

Category 2 reserved seats? Are they better than the ones members will be trying for on Wednesday?

From memory I don’t remember too many hard luck stories from the Prelim, and you’d think that would have been more in demand.
I’m banking on the 10am member presale, but reasonably confident - worst case scenario - I’d get them in the general public allocation. A home elimination final for a team that a month ago was Premiership favourites, and have played 8 Gabba finals over the last few years won’t be the hottest ticket in town.

From memory, you can select which category you want (pending there still being tickets in that category of course).

Return Flights from Newcastle ($620) and Brisbane accommodation all booked. Based on last year I am very confident of getting tickets in Wednesdays member pre-sales, it's a bit much to pay $250 for the member function given what I am paying for flights and accomodation (have to save money somewhere!). I am sure there will be other member gatherings around, we should aim for a TC pre match drink/gathering somewhere!

After we win in Brisbane I can drive down to Sydney and stay with family (in-laws are walking distance to Engie Stadium and daughter is close to SCG)
