Just can't see us winning this. The last 2 we've got them have been miracles. Can't see a third. But feeling very negative towards us at moment

Glad to hear that Martin, Marchbank and McGovern will be available next week. They will obviously lack match fitness however I'd bring them straight back in the side.
We just can't expect to beat quality sides when carrying players like Young and Fantasia. Vossy sounded optimistic about Williams being available.
Out: Young, Fantasia, Cowan
In: McGovern, Martin, Marchbank
Durdin on thin ice but probably remains until Motlop or Fogarty returns.

Lose next week and it is hard to see us making finals.
Why the AFL put this game on a Thursday night with the teams off 5&6 day breaks is beyond me.

When is Fog back? Best pressure player in our team and we need him back urgently.

Extra day's break plus McGovern, Martin and Marchbank returning should mean we are a decent chance.

we can easily win this, Charlie needs to lead from the square wit an open forward line, de koning is the ace with the longer one on one kick and Mckay is the mobile mountain that links everything together

I'd have Kemp back in before Marchbank

Yes to Kennedy of course, but I would bring back Kemp before Marchbank so we can stagger our returns. Don't think Melbourne have a lot of tall targets to worry about, do they? Last time I watched Ben Brown I think he had one disposal for the game, let him run up and down the wings like a lost sheep, idgaf.

I also hope we're not playing Williams half cooked, give him a week off if needed. Gov is a huge in that takes the pressure off us to keep playing ZW.

I doubt Marchbank returns? Is he even training?

edit - OK it was Voss said he was a chance. He was just so rusty in his return against North and obv hasn't played since.

scheduling this year more than any other i can remember is about revenue, not player welfare, thats 100% for sure.

he's being reassessed after week 11.

good news is, it's a fractured wrist. so he's running and putting miles into his legs and won't lose his capacity to run out a game. but yeah, fractures need time.

Charlie can flower off out of the square and spend some time running up and down creating. I’m sick of watching him playing from behind and wanting the ball high over the back. Yes he is being held but that is also partly because he isn’t on the move enough!!!

Another side we're very evenly matched with.

At this early stage I'd probably go with

Newman - Weitering - Marchbank
Cincotta - McGovern - Boyd
Acres - Cripps - Walsh
Cunningham - Curnow - E. Hollands
Owies - McKay - Martin
Pittonet - Cripps - Cerra

Hewett - Cottrell - Kennedy - DeKoning

sub: whoever plays well in the VFL this week.

Is Kennedy the 7th defender? I'd be tempted to keep Cowan and make E Hollands the sub, not sure what the latter's role will be with Msrtin back, and Martin may struggle to run out the game so having a like for like replacement may be b handy

Yes on second thought probably best to bring back Kemp instead of rushing back Marchbank (as well as Martin).
Regardless of the changes we can't continue with Young and Fantasia.

I'd have Kemp back in before Marchbank

So would I. Not sure having too many underdone players returning at once is a good thing.

Underdone whatever do you mean.
Russell has them in peak condition so they hit the ground running.

I think some on TC are pi55ing their pants way more than the team!
We will win this.
We are playing much better than when we were losing to rubbish teams this time last year!
We match up well against the Demons, esp without Brayshaw who is a huge loss for them IMO.
I doubt all three Ms will return (Voss seemed to backtrack in his presser when he ended with ‘in the coming weeks’). I reckon Martin & McGovern.
I can’t see Fantasia remaining in the team and I think 3 v small forwards is too many anyway - we’re better off with 2 + Martin & Fogarty and with Cunningham & E Hollands feeding it in deep from half forward. Obvs no Fogarty yet.
Carlton by 5 goals.

I agree. Faeces result last night but there were some individual brilliance at times. We aren't going to make finals? Wow!
