Walsh wasn't great, but is any other midfielder in the game penalised for HTB when they've had zero prior as he is?

Left after Daicos goal. Made the train without a feral to be seen. Highlight of the night

Yep. He was sensational. He and Weiters were the only ones who didn't give me heart palpitations every time the ball came their way in defence. Acres also excellent in terms of effort but a bit clumsy at times.

If you were at the game, Young did a lot. Lost the game when Harry took the mark with about two minutes to go. Why the hurry?

turning point was their rookie coming on the ground and kicking that goal. their pressure went over 220 from that point on. meanwhile ours sat at 145, which is inexcusable.

this big tall team, can't sustain pressure, huh?

Weitering was excellent.

This

Filth dominated territory.

And seemed to slice Carlton up from stoppage. Whereas Carlton would blaze away after winning first possession. Filth released it to a runner.

Something is very wrong with the way Carlton defend (not just inside 50 entries) and it can't just be related to personnel.

Also lacking in class in the midfield....unfortunately at the moment too many accumulating and too slow to get ball to boot. Not enough pace and skill in the midfield and not enough x factor at ground level up forward (injuries impacting there).

I'll take Acres committing the occasional howler over Fantasia doing a witch's hat impression all game.

Yep and there is no point playing so many talls when we move the ball the way we do.

haha. yes

young put in the worst game i've seen in a long time. can't stay on his feet, can't pursue, can't turn, overruns the ball, and has this look on his face like he shitting himself.

But when he does stay on his feet he just stands there flat footed and is a complete observer while the ball is in dispute.

It’s actually very strange to watch.

Not sure what to think

Our bottom 6 players continually let us down

Playing Durdin, Fantasia and Owies in the same forward line is a recipe for disaster

Our saving grace is that it is a pretty even competition and our best can compete with the best

I can't figure out whether Young's body or his mind work slower.
