Cerra's the only one close though isn't he?

Maybe Mcgovern but I'd be way cautious about bringing him back.

Going by the injury report this week I think so.
At least we didn't get any new injury from yesterday, that we know of anyway.

Cerra and Fantasia for Carrol and Binns likely only changes.

Sam Durdin for Young. I don’t care if he hasn’t played for weeks, he’ll have a dip

Agreed.
It's a pity that he didn't play VFL yesterday (due to being an emergency) as the match practice would have been useful.
Only other changes I suspect would be Cerra and Fantasia for Carroll and Binns. We could possibly rush back Cunningham as well.

This has turned into a very important game for both sides trying to keep pace with the top teams.

Our next 3 games:
- Collingwood
- Melbourne
- Sydney (SCG)

We’re 6th with a pedestrian percentage for a top 8 side. Effectively 3 games (due to percentage) behind 1st after 7 games. If we want to make top 4, we probably need to find 2 wins in the next 3. If we win none or one of those three, we’ll be out of the top 8 and pushing shit up hill to even get close to the top 4.

Cerra has to come in if he’s ready which it seems he might be. Fantasia (who I haven’t rated) probably also needs to come back in for team balance, even if he’s sub. If Cuningham is fit, he might be worth a role of the dice in the sub role.

The next 3 games get progressively harder IMO

They don’t get a whole lot easier after that. GC being the easiest but we have Port over there the junkies and then Geelong again

i just hate how the afl cannot figure out a fair home and away season. it's need that parity imo, espesh as so many teams are so close together and the margins of winning are very slim.

But Geelong were outside the 8 last year and Essendon* haven't been good since the industrial revolution

Also we play all our double ups before we even play several other teams.

Reckon we have got 5 years of Premiership window . And I would expect some of those young blokes to kick on . But I agree those changes for the now would benefit the side . I meant more long term .

I agree......I just want to win these games we should be winning and putting the best team on the park each week once the injury list has shortened should be the priority.
It's a tough balance sometimes, we still need to develop youth as you've stated.

If we didn't have such a long injury list I think we'd be warm favourites to beat the Pies. However I look at our current 'bottom six' players and don't feel confident.

Yesterday’s loss had nothing to do with injuries. We lost the game, they didn’t win it

Trouble is they were all shit together on the one day and that was fatal against the Cats who slaughter you on turnover . The thing is our bottom six have had good moments and lets hope the don't bomb out all together next week . Those blokes on a good day are capable of much more .

Sam and Jacob in the same backline would be a disaster. Young is quicker and more athletic than Sam.
Just think about this for a minute….
