Haha wow. Beating Brisbane at the Gabba, the hardest assignment in footy, with 6-7 of our best team out and you’re still not satisfied?

OMG

Are you for real?

FMD

Have you ever played footy? Do you know how hard this no offside game is to play, let alone win?

Do you have any idea how hard it is to win at Gabba, let alone with all the injuries we had going into this game, and 46 points down? Any idea?

Do you realise the adjustments the coach made to help us win? I repeat win!

Tell us all, what's this everything we are hiding?

I'm glad we haven't changed much from last year after we beat Pies, Dees, Port Saints on our way to the Finals, then beat Swans and dees in Finals only to run out of juice after leading by 5 goals in the first?

You're the type I'm alluding to in my last post. Get real. We are not going to win every game. Nop team is. Take the wins like this one and enjoy it. It is an historic win. A win for the ages.

Lets stick together and enjoy the ride...its a much better place than where we have been for the previous 2 decades.....or have you been living under a rock.

These are the good days. Its OK. The past 20 years is in the past.

The boys are fighting to the end, to get a win and leave everything on the ground; that's all we can ask. What more do you want?

What have they learned?

How to win at the Gabba
How to win first up against a premiership favourite

Now onto more important stuff…..I sense some anger jpulice…..best way for you to address your anger is ask yourself “what do I need to stop or change in the way I’m behaving”……good luck with that

Not many sides can get a run of goals against the Brions, we’ve done it last 2 times we’ve played them.

It’s only round one, but jeeez, that was special.

Jpulice's post is interesting. I have no right to point my finger at him, because I was a negative as anyone in the lead up to the game and in the first half.

I think some of us are still damaged from the last 20 years. So many false dawns. So many times promise and expectation have seen self inflicted failures and pain. It's safer to stay in that negative mindset, because then you don't get hurt if/ when it goes wrong.

I spent my childhood knowing nothing but success. I turned 18 in 1995. Then we rebuilt for a couple of years and back into contention we went. Jack famously said we don't rebuild at Carlton and I was naive enough to believe that was right.

When I watched the preseason games, I thought to myself, I've seen this script before. Then the first quarter happened and, geez, the sky was falling... all I can say is thank footy Gods I was wrong and sorry for the negativity.

I will say this jpulice, for this weekend, just enjoy a remarkable most unlikely win against all odds. Get out and about and proudly wear your Carlton gear. Wins like this are special

Go Blues

I've been wearing my 2024 member's hat all day - and I've walked a long way, 18,229 steps allegedly - and not a single person has stopped to congratulate me or even offered a thumbs up in passing. Sydney* does not deserve to be part of this country, I tell you what.

high praise mr k!!!

what makes you say that? serious q, not trolling

46 points down playing a venue that no team could beat the home team the year before
Weitering and Walsh out
Docherty out at Half Time
Playing a seriously good team
Says it all

fair assessment!

Wasn’t replayed enough, therefore we can sweep under the carpet. Dual Brownlow medalist and all….
