Absolutely gutted for the bloke.

We are, fortunately, pretty thick at half back & wing - but you just can’t replace that kind of leadership & experience.

And then there’s the emotional side of things…

Some think Doc is easily replaced. I don't.

He is an on field coach; an organiser.

Now he'll do it from the side lines.

Get well Doc. You still have a contract for 2025. I look forward to your return to the field.

So we have 2 season and 4 indefinite.
Anyone else have concerns that Walsh will be out for an extended period?

Indefinite is the new "1-2 weeks"

1-2 weeks is the new actual 1-2 weeks

I wandered by Princes Park yesterday when the main session was on and through the glass I could see Weiters running laps, so at the very least I can confirm he is alive and upright.

Heart attack - I saw Carroll and thought Jack…
Of course I’m worried about Walsh but not as worried as this time last year.
I don’t think the club is playing funny buggers - there is no point if they know he’s done for a while, I reckon they’d just say ‘Out, 8 weeks’ or whatever. I just think that it is a difficult assessment that is based on milestones more so than time period. They’ve said they’ll reassess after round 2 so I expect we’ll get more of an update next week.
The Marchbank one strikes me as more bizarre. I wouldn’t have thought there are many illnesses that would put a player out indefinitely that can’t be named?

I'm not writing Doc off unless he has a limb amputated. He's only 30.

He'll be back.

It is Marchbank we’re talking about. It’s probably a head cold, ie potentially terminal
