Brisbane won every single home game this season, didn't they?
They won every single home game last season except for against Melbourne.

So the AFL gives Carlton the hardest possible opening match. Nice scheduling.

How many wins do you expect in the first 4 games? If your answer if 3 or higher, then it's a pretty good first month imo.

Very good fixture for a team that made the prelim. May looks like a tricky month (Pies, Dees, Swans, Suns, Port), but I think the club would be delighted with that.

2 at Adelaide oval - yikes
1 at Gabba
1 at Optus
1 at Giants
1 at SCG

Dont like playing home games at Marvel against teams that use it as home - North - Dogs and Saints

Apart from that it looks ok

Team needs to go to Brisbane the week before round 1 and get used to night time in the humidity

I don't care who we play. If we are good enough we will win. Its the 5 day breaks that worry me more and we only have 1.

Happy with this.
North will be cellar dwellars again whilst the Tigers and Cats are on the slide.
I think Port will struggle to make the top 8 however they will still be tough to beat in Adelaide.

One of them is against the Dockers and the other is against Port - who I think will slide next year and be an easier opponent than the Crows.

I reckon it's decent enough.

I tried to guess our double ups and the only one I got right was Collingwood.

Norf twice is a bit of a surprise?
Last three are Hawks/WC/Saints which is alright as you'd expect at least two of those to be done for the season.
One trip to Qld is good, but have to play Sydney in Sydney again.

The Thurs/Fri night games in Melbourne are a bit of a pain for us with kids/school/sports but we'll deal.

I think we are getting the royal colon treatment and the afl is going all in for a carlton, colon, fitzroy blockbuster finals series. I guess the incoming leadership has to have some good numbers early on in tenure to justify the delicious salary

Glad we've got Good Friday again

Our play twice set is very favourable

We've got the Sunday night King's Bday Eve match against the Bombers again. Wonder if they're trying to make that a lock?

Not a bad draw. Only thing I am disappointed with is no game on the Gold Coast, which I usually go to.
We only have to play 3 of this year's top 8 teams twice.
If I have read it correctly we only tavel interstate once in the last 7 rounds.

1 home game in the first 5 weeks (which includes a bye) is all I can fault...

Yeah , its like the AFL are going out of there way to give us the best possible chance of having a good year . The dumb faaarks have finally worked out that the Blues going well means the AFL booms . Better late than never i suppose . The penny has finally dropped .
