Love the effort and the year.

Curnow.. you really let us down in the finals. Love you though.

Hope the boys all get well, get their bones fixed and come back next year

Proud as F@#$ing punch

Lions too good.

3 gruelling games in September and they still never gave up.

Well done blues

Cmon mate. Surely joking.
How many games did he factor in to get the boys into finals?

Imagine the year without his 80+ goals

I think the Lions flog the big time. Pies can't score. They won both games due to the other the others side's inability to remotely use the ball properly going forward when on top. Brisbane won't be like that. Scoring 60 and 58 the last 2 weeks won't go close to cutting it against Brisbane.

Bittersweet. Can’t hide the disappointment right now but what a ride the back half of the year has been.

Couldn’t have got off to a better start but really didn’t play all that well after that.

So much to be happy about. Hard not to be proud.

Hopefully ‘24 is immense for us.

I thought our back 6 was pretty good - in particular Gov and Marchbank.
Got soundly beaten in the middle and needed more from Charlie, Martin and Motlop.

kicking into the 50 killed us, and we got very little from our forward line. h the best forward on the night, charlie was poor, so was motlop

brisbane beat us due to their speed and clean disposal, we had to fight for everything

but we only lost by 16 points, so oaets of our game were brilliant and there is so much more to like than dislike.

too many sore bodies and lack of fresh legs didnt help, but i am finally excited for a new season, which i havent felt for a very long time - previous to this season, all i ever hoped for was competitiveness and a few snatched wins. now i expect 17 to come home

hollands was brilliant, wonderful pick up, boyd, a great selection

overall, i'd rather be disappointed in the second last week of the season that after the h/a season like we are used to

Can't be too upset about this. We gave it a real crack but Brisbane were too good. Lots to learn from this game. We need more clean ball use - don't want to name names but there are a small number of players that you don't want to see taking a kick, but with the Bears everyone is a threat; this is the level we need to reach.

Gov will get my 5 votes for the first time this season. Boyd had the best game of his career, absolutely a tick for the MC there. Acres incredible in the first half, decent in the second, a phenomenal finals series for him. Walsh merely very good after godlike EF & QF. Cripps so banged up he even shirked a couple of contests which I've never seen, ice him up and get him right for next year. Think we'll be keeping the surgeon busy in the coming months. Forwards disappointing but our entries were vastly inferior to Bears'. Too many slow mid, maybe Dow should have been in.

We never quit but we were cooked. Fought as hard as I've seen a Carlton side since the 90s.

We got the wrong end of the finals draw. If we finished 6th and got GWS's run we'd be playing next week in my opinion. We have to go through 2 of the hardest contested sides imaginable with our bodies falling apart and still missed by just 16pts. The other part of the draw was way easier work.

Fought it out.
Curnow Harry Cerra and Cottrell all missed what they shouldn't have.

Midfield were beaten badly
Newman 2 costly turn overs
TDK quiet
Boyd brilliant
Doc v Coleman cost us the game.
Mots quiet
Martin tried the hero thing to much.

Still think Carlton 23 are the Collingwood 22

Need to get 2 or 3 in trade free agents

What a shit heap the Gabba is.

Robbed the game of atmosphere.

Well done to the blues fans there though. Made it sound like a Carlton home game.

What an incredible season.

What a high that first quarter was.

Well done everyone.

Look out 2024.

I know an easy target but pittonet was putrid after quarter time.

Have to be proud of the season. Disappointing finish. Changing up the forward structure after it worked so well all season, bewildering. Docherty playing H/F and pushing up to the stoppages. Had little impact and his opponent flogged us behind the ball. :?
Oh, well.
Boyd, brilliant. I thought Marchbank was huge and Pitto tried his guts out. Great stepping stone. Lets hope we can progress from here.

I said a few weeks ago that this might be our 1978 before our 1979. Similar situation where we had to turn a nasty looking season around.

Na I totally agree with you. He got us there, but he didn’t perform the last 3 weeks.
He needs to work through that one.

Love the man to bits btw
