That is the number 1 thing on my mind. I don't see this game as a free swing at all

Lose & they've dicked us 2 years in a row. It's simply not happening

He'll score Once, that'll be it.

It will be Navy Blue "Shock & Awe" for about 10 minutes at some point tonight and that will be enough.

They'll batten down the hatches for the rest of the game.

Mark my words.

Re: Kennedy

Will we try and play him deep like Swans did with Parker last week. I thought it made a differnce and the defence very accountable. Kennedy is very strong and tough. At worst will provide a contest and not get beaten
This is what I hope we do with him. Cripps too when is having a rest up there and Kennedy has a run in the guts.

Plonk them in the goal square (when appropriate, not the whole time) and make the Dees accountable.

Lever can't help May with Charlie all the time if Kennedy and Cripps start clunking marks 20m out.

Hands up if you're wearing your Carlton polo to work today.

(It is footy day here so I'm not just being a weird middle-aged bloke rocking footy gear)

I'm wearing my 1864 t-shirt with distressed lettering. Like others, I'm properly nervous for the first time in years, at least for Carlton- Liverpool has given me more butterflies of late. Might need to slam some beers

THat was brilliant. I've always thought Fitzy a bit of a flog but he was great last night.

I’m calling a big game for Cripps tonight. Been quiet with sore ribs. Tonight he stands up

Go Blues

I’m not over ‘94 or 2000. Had a guy behind me in 2000 that was calling Bruce, Green and vice versa and in the end just went with the “go number 18” cliche.
Agree it’s not a free hit. Unlike 2011 we’ve matched it against the best throughout the last half of the year and there is no clear standout like the great Brisbane, Hawthorn or Geelong sides of the last 20 odd years.

yeah this is no free swing. if we want to win flags with this list and voss, tonight has to be a coming out party.

missing some big outs up front, it's gonna take everything we have.

No such thing as a free hit in finals.

This is our chance to progress, take no prisoners

I can’t see us winning to be honest, but as you say - if we start well, who knows? My heart couldn’t take another close one though….

Must admit that I'm feeling the same way. I think our forward line will struggle to kick a winning score whilst I doubt that Fritsch and Pickett will be so wasteful 2 weeks in a row. McDonald had a shocker last week but will be better for the run.
Need a good start and for Cripps to have more influence.

Yep. Not confident but I'm hoping the boys give 100% effort for 4 quarters. You cant ask for anything more.
Looking forward to taking in the atmosphere. Perfect day for it!

BV's been hacked!!!

Know we have a few sore boys but suspect (hope) the Dees have more on the hurt but playing list and they may be cooked.
They threw the sink at the Filth and came up short and their fwd line is even weaker now.
They've had a huge, unusual week, so will be interesting to see if that takes a toll.
Our form stands up and reckon we're a huge chance ... to play the Brions into form to ensure the Filth don't take out the big one :yikes:

I've been doing the September evening walk to the train station sans Carlton scarf for so many years now. How good to finally be in the thick of things.

It's an absolutely beautiful evening, best wishes all, hope you have an awesome night whether at the ground, pub, or home.

Let's have it!!!!!
