Finals.
Finally.
After 9 wins in a row, with 1 more H&A game to go.
Got there easily. Had a 6 week break in between. Kicked the heels. Came back.

Next praccy game before a week's break, GWS at home.
Bring it on. Get around the boys folks.

Bring on Walsh Cerra and Gov.
Get a praccy game into them next week.

VFL Finals start next week too.

It was another sliding door moment game for me again.

Giving them a 40-point head start was horrible. I took a breath and thought to myself which door our team will chose, the one where they deliver a "brave" 30-point loss, or the door which pulls in the resolve, intent, and belief to turn it around, and win - even if u win ugly.

Then I thought about the transformation of our team and how we got 8 on the trot, and I thought we will win.

And so it was!

FINALS baby :)

FINALS…..!

That's my take out also, the posters know who they are, willing us to lose to justify their two hours of back stabbing every second player.

Showed their true colours and won't be forgotten

If you are referring to me as one of those people you refer to as to what I said about Martin
Personally I’m really happy to follow us in September for the first time in a decade
And I hope Martin plays well
I just wish he sometimes would take some body contact from another player

You mean like when he took the contact in the middle off the ground a few weeks ago? Collingwood from memory where it was a 50/50 ball and he smashed in, was harder and won the contest?
It's easy sitting behind a keyboard calling players soft, isn't it.
We're in the finals and 99% of us are excited and happy.
You and the other 1% have always got some sort of qualification to drag it down, no matter how impressive the situation.
Get over it. All your bagging of the club, list, administration etc 8 weeks ago, has all turned to shit. It's wonderful, isn't it?

GWS can't finish ahead of us. As for Swans, just need Adelaide to keep it to under 5 goals and I reckon we'll be OK, Sydney will struggle to beat Melbourne by a similar margin. We're fortunate to be playing last so we'll know what's required.

In my mind this was the danger game in the run home all along.
We have turned to shit at Carrara too often before and let's face it, we did again today for a big chunk of the game.

So 'win ugly' be it.

So thrilled to be there to see it.

I know I keep saying it but the home crowd feel was enormous and I reckon it just might have helped the boys on the paddock get there.

Plain sailing in next 4-5 ahead.

p.s.
GWS had their moment in the sun today, next week they will be toast.

Why was Crippa padded up like he was about to be used as Mike Tyson's punching bag?

I hope we rest him next week.

I'm really happy that all our long suffering Qld based supporters not only got to see a win, but a finals clinching win.

I thought about that too. We’ve had some absolute shocking games there so kinda full circle.

Another couple of huge psych milestones ticked off yesterday:
1) Taking the opportunity to take our opportunity!
2) Beating the Suns up there in a classic banana peel match, which we usually fail and has cost more than one coach their jobs!
3) Finding another way to win… clearly, we are getting weary so whilst I would have preferred an 8 goal thumping, this showed great character which is what finals football is all about.
It will be good to get some fresh legs back into the team hopefully next week and then the rest before finals.
