I was driving between Gundagai and Yass as we came back from a 40 point deficit against Gold Coast to make the finals for the first time in a decade.

Started hooting and laughing when the siren went.

Wombat the dog thought I was having a medical emergency.

1987 grand final. 30 degrees. Very sweaty.

I was swimming around in my old man's nut sack. I wasn't even born yet, but I remember it, because the old man got hard.

I was 6 rows back from boundary fence at city end in forward pocket.
No hat, no sun screen in the blazing sun and on the full strength beers all day.
Ahh, bliss.
Geez she was a tough old night though.

I was at the ground, and am recovering today from a sore throat after belting out the song at the very top of my voice.

Go Blues.

Was lower level centre wing old Southern stand.
Main memory is Rhys dominating.
Went to club the next day to see players get presented to the crowd.

Not sure Francina was playing then, maybe you're thinking of Matty Hogg or someone.

Andrew Cavedon was also good that night...I ended up working with his nephew a few years ago :)

Yeah, I think you are right Franchina was later - it must have been Matthew Hogg. I just remember my Filth-supporting Uncle whinging about the scragging all night and my Dad telling him he was a sook and a sore loser.

Seeing my old man standing on a chair in Row D behind the goals at the city end of the G in 99 when Justin Murphy had the ball and the siren went.

My dad isn't that demonstrative. Never seen a reaction like it or since..
