I think it'll be Ed again. Boyd preferably gets a full game in the 2s after 3 weeks out

The Dees will certainly be free fallin' after this game, whilst we will be runnin’ down a dream.

The waiting is the hardest part.

And which of our players will breakdown?

Sorry.

I promise I won't come around here no more...

2s play on Sunday so even if he’s sub he’ll be able to play a full game the next day

That'd be a great effort if he did

Pretty sure someone else did it earlier in the season. Maybe Dow. Was either unused sub or only played 20 mins and backed it up the next day

If we’re entrenched, I’d be putting guys in cotton wool, because I’m nervous.

I know how you feel. I am even hoping Collingwood win tomorrow night.
Not sure I can cope with another heartache like last year.

Yep OK. It'd be a short turnaround for Boyd, night game Saturday then the 2s play at 12 on the Sunday.

Anyway Carlton by 226 points

I go for the outsider Durdin S.

If you look at our bench we have

small utlity x 2 Cotterell; Fisher
small forward Motlop
mid Dow

Not a tall of any description. As it is we have only 4 genuine talls in the 22 and 2 of them
are ruckmen. We appear to have plenty of runners even if one goes down But talls, zero.

With a slightly different composition to the side I would have gone for Boyd as well.

I was just about to post the same after deeper examination of the teams.

Both teams have a mobile KP's around 193-4 and forwardline with 1 tall KPF and 2 smaller 186cm marking forwards

Both teams using a ruckman in a KPF position.

Harry would have stretched the Dees.

If one big fella gets injured then that may unsettle match ups,so Durdin for me.
Not that it should matter with us playing system based footy, there's always a one on one battle here and there.

Amazing stat from last week, is that 178 Saad won his 2 only one on one battles against 203cm King. Amazing.
I hope Kemp wins his one on ones. I'm guessing he takes Van Rooyen whose the same size

I bet this game is all the talk in Melbourne.
It is in Sydney amongst footy fans. Carlton's surge and record breaking stats in the last 7 games have caught everyone's attention.

For the first time in nearly 30 years I believe our side can beat anyone regardless

There is something about this side now and the way we play that gives me great confidence

First time in 3 years we haven't made a change!

Blues by 21 points

It has been almost 30 years for me too Farmer. I did think Carlton circa 2000 was pretty good till Knights fell across Kouta's knee.

5 goal win to the Blues tomorrow night, for the same reason.

Unbelievable how good the team looks even with 6 of our best 22 missing.

Rubbing hands.

I think that was Jason Johnson in 2000.

If Pitto is to be of any value this week (particularly in the wet), he has to bash and crash like Mummy with GWS.

That's right, the PCL in 2000 vs Effendopes, must have been Johnson, then in 2001 I'm sure it was Matthew Knights who deliberately fell across Kouta's knee and tore his ACL.

I don't want to talk about it, how it broke my heart.

Richmond supporters stood & clapped & laughed when Kouta was on the ground in agony that day.

(sorry for the PTSD)
