Fisher is basically playing for his career.

I'm hopeful that and the overall change in our game/system will benefit him.

Either way we'll know where he's at this weekend.

I'm not sure what to think. A part of me is haunted by the ghosts of saints games past. And another part looks at their last 3 wins, & they've been against rubbish sides, & not convincing wins at all.

saints looked a lot better putting the hawks away. but to that really calm and structured defence and hard rebound game.

Need to quell Marshall and Sinclair.
And please don’t let Bradley Hill have his one good game for the month!

Yes but Saints had major lapses throughout the game

Hopefully that's one area we can have an edge over them

Good start is really important.

Fisher is hardly an inspiring in after his form earlier in the year. Had zero buy in to the defensive side of the game. Our turn around has been largely based on oressure and tackling. Let’s hope the penny has dropped for Zac otherwise he could be a frustrating watch in a game that may decide our finals fate.

Very harsh on Fish. Hopefully will get a rotation through the middle and give us the run and zip we will need. Go FISH!

Some might argue that that was the knock on us, until we put the boots to Port.

This mob literally fell in against two of the worst teams in modern history.

Blues by 87.

Our midfield looks pretty ordinary without Walsh and Cerra. Saints currently paying $2.30 which I think is good value.

This is a huge game for us.
It is the kind of game we would lose in the past few years.
Another opportunity to prove that we’ve changed and learned.
If we win, we need one more from the last 3, vs 2 from the last 3.
Of course, three of the last four would be better ;-).

Port have lost 3 straight

Coll now have lost 2 straight

Maybe there top tier teams are doing extra loads

Maybe this dilutes our form guide

Hawks just beat Collingwood by five goals 16.9.105 hawks to 11.7.73 pies

maybe our win wasn’t so amazing after all! With pop ayer’s our we can’t afford to let Saints jump us the way Hawks jumped Pies in first quarter.

I think we need S Durdin as sub given Fisher is in. No other coverage if we lose a tall

don’t like KP tall defenders as sub. play him and sib out at half time if we have to cover potential tall forwards who may or may not play.

Or maybe they're just getting found out?

Maybe an element of that but I think more likely it is human nature to take the foot off the pedal when you know you're going to finish top 4.

We are playing far better than we were but equally I think a bit of the gloss of our wins has come off

Makes tomorrow's game even more interesting because St.K are fighting for a finals berth. They'll give it a red hot go.

Let's see what we are made of. If we make the 8 it'll be deserved.

I actually like the inclusion of Fisher. With all the outs, we need some more experience in the side. Fisher is 25 with 100+ games, I think he is a safer bet than bringing in Binns with 8 senior players already missing. I think people forget how many good games Fisher has played for us. I know he's been pretty ordinary this year, but so was almost everyone before the turnaround. I'm actually excited to see what he can do in this new free flowing game style, even though it seems his papers are stamped

fair call. maybe MC they wanna take one last look at Fish and reassess his trade value. it’s true many were playing well below par but Fish was very sub par especially in the middle which he reckons is his gig.

if he comes in and does a Motlop with 4 pure then i’m back on the Fish bandwagon.
