Sad to say but with Walsh gone for 4 weeks, there goes our Season.... He is too hard to cover, especially with the other mids also running on one leg :(

He is crucial to our current one paced midfield. He setup our win today in 1 and half quarters. It was the most amazing short term of football.
I hope it's not 4 weeks, else I tend to agree.

I don’t agree. It’s the way we play now as a team and our attacking style that will get us through. Walsh is a loss but we can cover with Cripps Cerra Hewett Dow Docherty and with Fogarty helping.

The outside run of Hollands Acres Cottrell Cuningham has made us better. We now run in Waves.

The one I thought we missed today was as Boyd. His extra run from defence helps a lot

Boyd is a big loss. So is now Chinc, if out. Both have been good defensively and offensively. These 2 would have been crucial to match up on the pies smalls.

TDK, Doc, & Kemp all played well I thought

The only time I let out an expletive today was when Richmond hit the front

walsh was jus tgetting back to his best. he has so many moves in jukes in traffic that create space and release outside runners, which he's finding with very high %.

he's a loss. he's our engine room. and when he and cerra are there, we're formidable (like butters and rozee)

Does highlight our depth issues. I have always believed our best 25 is good enough to what anyone especially now the way we are playing.

We need to add more depth/quality at years end.

Why did Kelli Underwood keep calling Cowan ‘Kemp’?

And none of the others corrected her.

It was hilarious.

Pros:

Put down the hammer early.
Charlie, Weiters, Docherty, Acres, Saad, Kemp, TDK.
1st quarter was the best quarter I've ever seen Walsh play.
Great to see Hewett return to some form.
Probably Dow's best game at senior level for a couple of years. Still didn't lay any tackles, which is fairly difficult for a midfielder.
Got a fairly generous run from the umps, apart from the 'insufficient intent' decisions.

Cons:

Injuries.
Low intensity 2nd half can't be great preparation for taking on Collingwood.
Not as much contribution tonight from the supporting cast.

From a tweet

Walsh in 43 minutes:
9 score involvements (Equal 3rd most)
3 goal assists (equal 1st)
4 inside 50s (equal 5th)
4 clearances (5th)
2 centre clearances (equal 3rd)
14 touches @ 100%
6 contested
1 goal
3 tackles (equal 5th)

It was Kouta-like dominance. One of the best quarters I've seen from one of our players for a long time.

Walsh terrific and really disappointing that he got injured
Hewett I thought was one of our best and best game for the blues this year
Charlie excellent and brilliant
Good win
Could have been better bar the injuries

Hollands is a real prospect disposal good today and runs all day

Thought Dow was ok

Backline solid Cowans not great Honey the least impressive givennwho we were playing must impact game more
Cotrell not do good either

Good win soured by injuries.
I was also worried about today, I didn't realise how bad WCE are.
Hewitt was terrific.
What a star Charlie is, it was a pleasure to be there to witness his game.
Hopefully the injuries are not too bad.

Good professional win. Buried WCE by quarter time.
Charlie outstanding.
Bank the 4 points and move on.
Injuries are starting to mount which is a worry. Hopefully all todays injuries on the minor side and get back Cripps, Cerra and Martin for next week.

Was truly bitter sweet today. First half was unbelievable. Second half was a big drop off. The injuries are just so shit. Just when we looked like we were finals bound, the same shit comes back again. Key players going down left right and centre. So disappointing.

Charlie amazing. George terrific. Walsh's 45 minutes was unbelievable. Doc solid as was TDK. I don't care what anyone says, Dow is a very average footballer and Voss was absolutely correct to leave him out of the side until there was genuinely no one else. No defensive pressure effort. Shit kick. Poor decision making. He will be dreadfully exposed by Collingwood next week.

Overall a disappointing day with the injury list ever growing

I feel a bit like after the last H&A game of 2001, when we won by 10 goals, but copped shocking injuries

FANTASTIC WIN

Yeah we coulda won by more if this and that, but we won by 71 points and Charlie kicked 10, and we had 11 goal kickers, with no bench and sub on in first quarter.

Charlie finally kicked the 10 we thought he would.

I loved Cincotta's game, and TDK's, and for 4 quarters Hewett stuck it up his many detractors. Hewett my BOG. Docherty next best or equal best. Weiters Saad Cincotta held our backline with help from Docherty. I also though Newman was poor tonight. He did a few good things but his foot passing at times...FMD.

SOS with a jarred knee, may be OK, Walsh's hammy, was it precautionary coming off?, Motlops calf, soured the win. Cincotta was lucky to be declared free of concussion, thank god.

Not only did we win with our midfield out injured (Cripps Cerra Kennedy), but also our Coleman medallist McKay and star HF Martin, we won with no bench.

Amazing pressure we put on in the first. Like early last year, we seem to blitz the opposition with one super quarter, every week for 5 in a row. I think this is who we are these days.

Our kids got some minutes, and that was good for their development against Weagles, but I was really disappointed in the inconsistent Gov. Many of his fans recall that one great pass in the corridor, 2 months ago, but he hasnt done that for a long long time, and he just fluffs too many kicks for my liking. He's not in my best 22.

Kemp has to also simplify his game, because he has these brain fades and takes on miracle passes like he thinks he's Bobby Skilton. Bobby had mastered the 30m stab pass. Kemp should stick to his strengths.

Cowan was way out of his league.

Pies next. Bring em on.

Mate how the fug is Charlie not BOG. Do a lap

 Down for 30 push-ups, Bondi. I think Charlie's 10 goals, being half our score, was good enough to see off all comers in this one somehow.

We went on to win the following week that year.

Awesome.
