Perhaps he's referring to Jake King and the former Mongols King?

Bondi I think a bit harsh on Kemp 11marks and 19 disposals pretty good for a third tall but obviously wasnt playing on much
Agree he needs to be a bit more circumspect with his decisions but maybe thats his charm

Reminds me a bit of a young Jarrad Waite and how he went about it

Also some people calling for Marchbank to come into backline no way cincotta kemp mcgovern weitering are not preferred to him

Cowan didbt have a great game but more suited to boyd role than Marchbank

Not sure why saying “Kemp has to iron out his brain fades and should keep things simple” is harsh.

I miss Jones and Like most supporters we wished Jones would keep things simple with his crazy passes and his brain fades, but we admired what he could do. Same with Kemp. He will be a great Footballer one day and does good things for a 20yo. I’m pointing out an observation, not writing him off. You sort of said the same.

He is taking on a huge task mixing big boys above his weight, and progressing well IMO.

From a tweet

Walsh in 43 minutes:
9 score involvements (Equal 3rd most)
3 goal assists (equal 1st)
4 inside 50s (equal 5th)
4 clearances (5th)
2 centre clearances (equal 3rd)
14 touches @ 100%
6 contested
1 goal
3 tackles (equal 5th)

It was Kouta-like dominance. One of the best quarters I've seen from one of our players for a long time.

i agree. no Walsh, no Blue baggers? (as far as finals success goes)

usually Walsh gets better as the game goes on and his elite fitness and tank given him more contest dominance and more latitude when he gets fed the ball on a fast break.

what a shame. it may take Walsh weeks more games post-return to get back to this level. being a hammy his training will be be very limited until it’s fully repaired (i assume).

when blues went quite for a ten minute period in the second quarter Walsh didn’t touch it once. then we lose him and third qtr our possessions and scoring were half that of WCE.

i don’t think “No Walsh, No Blues” but i do think he’s one of our top five players every single time he runs on the park uninjured and match fit, and has game winning X-factor in spades.

To those who want to see Binns, I get it.
There has been constant suggestions to rest Hollands for Binns or that Binns is a better player.

No way should Binns be compared to Hollands, and if they are compared, lets stick to the facts in the comparison.
There's a reason Hollands is the go to player by Voss and the MC.

Both elite runners, but Holland has genuine speed and his kicking on both sides also sets them apart.

Hollands back from a shoulder injury just goes and goes. He is the real deal.
Binns will get a game, and may make the grade, but he will find it difficult when the list is fit and will have to be patient. Ditto the supporters.

i was super impressed with Holland in his return match. and that’s just from watching the replay, being there you’d have seen his pace, endurance and timing/patterns all afternoon.

in the past i’d been a bit critical of him not being able to stick tackles and tendency to prop rather than tackle, but that was in the context of a terrible team tackles laid count for weeks in a row, and opponents dancing through our corridor.

Holland even stuck at least one excellent tackle against WCE but his speed with the ball and foot passing to Curnow was as good as it gets from our various wingers. we seem to play some of our HFs and HBs as extra wingers ATM it’s never just two or three playing that role, whoever is in that position on the field Cottrell and Cunners etc etc are always getting back and getting forward on a few of the fast breaks. it’s working well, allows Doc to stay more central and be a link man.

One passage of play from the kid made me stand and clap and scream we have one here - won the contested ball, took off and left them all scrambling trying to catch him and then on the wrong foot delivered a perfectly executed left foot laces out to Charlie. You just sit back and appreciate that!

that was the passage where i realised i hadn’t seen the elite potential of Hollands in his first set of games prior to injury. if a kid can do that in his first season its suggests huge potential in multiple positions as he matures. even Campo didn’t impress me that much in his first season.

SPS lucky to get a two week ban for his sling tackle on Cincotta when Boyd and Sicily got three. SPS slammed Cincotta’s head into the astroturf, which is just concrete wrapped in some green plastic synthetic turf. it was three metres outside the field of play where the astroturf starts, no way he couldn’t know it’s there.

And in the final quarter, called Hollands, Fogarty.

I have watched the replay and she is very hard to listen to.
After Charlie kicked his 10th goal she said something along the lines of "Charlie found the golden ticket". (Obviously referring to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie).
Very cringeworthy.

shades of Bruce McAvaney including the faux octave pitch-drop and throaty exclamations when someone does something good.
