Two biggest Attendances in Elimination Finals history...

Sept. 8, 2013 Carlton v Richmond 94,690
Sept. 8, 2023 Carlton v Sydney 92,026

Funny That!

Only 5 Elim. Finals topped 90,000 - Carlton have been in 3 of them!
(inc. v Essenscum* 2011, 4th biggest ever)

see previous page for Semi final records...

Updated 1st post in this thread for posterity's sake to include some Finals achievements.

Quite the list of pluses overall.

Of note, included the record climb of 12 ladder positions in one season: no team has ever done that after Rd. 7

All up, Well Done to the boys of 2023.

The info previously in this thread shows that Carlton flags come with 10 straight wins, so here's hoping next year they nail that one shut...

Oh, and Charlie Curnow becoming the first player to kick a goal in every one of 26 games in a season.

Well done mate!

Been a good year Ghost and we finished around where most of us expected. Also, been a struggle, but I expect next year, to do better, but here is where it will be the interesting.

10,228 days to be exact.

Still waiting longer than any other AFL, NRL, Super Rugby or A-League team to play in a Grand Final.

Still been longer since Carlton spent even ONE week at the top of the ladder than for any other team.
(338 rounds - rd. 2, 2009)

and that makes this the 10th longest streak in VFL/AFL history at not being no. 1.

A big win over Richmond in rd. 1 would at least fix the latter.

I don’t think you are playing this right. We just watched Collingwood win a GF
We need the select good statistics…

How about this one Arnhem B ..... Carlton have played Collingwood 7 times in a grand final. Carlton have won 6, Collingwood 1. Collingwoods win was in 1910 - 113 years ago.

Unless bizarre accounting is used to assist a Collingwood player, Sam Walsh should win the Gary Ayres Medal.
On 18 votes for first two rounds plus an extra 3-6 votes for match vs Brisbane.

Bobby Hill was on 4 votes.. plus 15 for gfinal.. still not enough.

Agree!

It gives the season a great positive note to end on, and provides some positive parameters for next season.
