The midfield will be interesting. With Hollands coming in, it would suggest Doc may go into the midfield to provide some leadership. Personally, I'd rather see Acres get the gig. Drafted as an inside mid, he's a decent replacement for Cripps/Kennedy. Big body, averages more contested possessions and clearances than Docherty. He has good hands, courage and runs straight lines.

Ed into the rotation as well?

Possibly. He's probably unfortunately more chance than Acres. I love Ed. He's one of my favourites but his time is up.

4 games in a row seems to be the limit.

And McG, actually, he's probably overdue.

This game now has me seriously concerned.
Martin has been huge in our forward line and Honey as his replacement. Boyd has been doing a shut down role.
Cripps, Cerra to go with Kennedy and replaced by Ed & Hewett, while WC have their best midfield in.
Yep - I'm worried.
Let's hope Dow and Walsh get a decent run through the middle. We need them!!!

You'll always get the best price at Betfair.

Eagles $22.

Carlton have behaved like millionaires with selection.
Feeling very nervous!
If we lose this ... heads should roll.

Biggest Concern for me is When you take your Star players out of the side, the Middle & Fringe players have always failed to get the job done at Carlton...

Someone needs to stand up tomorrow. This is Dow's last chance to prove he can play at top Level.

We need our running defenders to play in the middle and generate most of the attacks. If Walsh does not fire up tomorrow, we risk of probably winning by a very small margin... don't even want to think we can lose this Game!

I actually think it's a good challenge for our second stringers. Looking forward to seeing Dow get a full game. Cowan played some very solid footy for us at the start of the year & will do his job.

Cunningham I'd give some midfield time, to give us some polish with the ball.

As long as we can keep getting it to Charlie & he's got his kicking boots on we should be right

Yup team momentum and cohesiveness definitely disrupted, let’s hope replacement players tap into new team energy, focus and perform their part, otherwise we may be in for a surprise.

I sort of take the view that it might not be such a bad thing resting players because it hopefully keeps those that are in the side on edge. I mean this is a test of the new game plan. Sharing is caring. Voss needs to drill in the game plan message. I have faith that TDK, Doc, Walsh, Hewett, Acres, Dutchy, Ed, Dow can do enough in the midfield.

It also presents as a huge opportunity for Dow. I mean he's been racking em up in the magoos all year and now gets a genuine chance to show what he is capable of. How good would it be if he plays a blinder.

Agree a respectable competent reserve supply , depth , ready to go is an absolute must component without it in place, a team can’t flourish & evolve.
A reasonably functioning reserves team is part of our development & growth this year, focus was never purely about participation in finals.

Yeah I hope Dow gets a main on ball role and just see what he can do. I know he wasn’t great last week but it’s hard when you’ve been out of the team for so long and then come in and don’t get many minutes. Every other player has had a solid block of games, but Dow hasn’t had that chance for a couple of years now
