Just noticed that Weitering, Kemp and Aliir all had 100% game time.

How often does a player do this?

Mainly defenders?

What a great game from the whole team. The turnaround is fair dinkum now. 2 points out of the 8. Should be in the 8 by this time next week.

Pros:
pressure
Tackling
JSOS
Jesse
McGov
TDK
All played their best games for the year if not careers
I was there to enjoy it

Cons:
BlAcres kicking is woeful
Paddy Dow - I want him to make it so bad, but he's just not going to. His disposal and decision making is not AFL level and will never be. It's like he has no depth perception
Injuries. Injuries ffs. Injuries :banghead:

Tonight was the best Ruck game I have seen from TDK. Does it change the offer and our attitude around re signing him?

If Pittonet fit do we bring him in?

Interesting times

Playing TDK and Pitto should be outlawed for all of time. We are infinitely better with more runners in the team. Tonight we effectively played with 3 less talls than we used to with Pitto, Harry, and Young all replaced with more mobile running players, and we played our best game in a decade.

Obviously we’d have Harry back every day of the week, but we can’t fall back into the trap of playing too tall. The only way you should ever play 2 ruckman is if one of them is an effective forward and you’re short on key forwards. But with Charlie, Harry and JSOS, we have no room for a resting ruckman.

The modern game is won with run run run and more run. Tonight we ran in waves and linked up through the middle to carve them up, and when they had the ball we swamped them with manic pressure. Take one link out of that chain and replace them with a lumbering Pitto and the whole system falls apart

This is the preferred outcome. I'm not sure my heart could handle a final against * (or the filth for that matter)

I have been a motlop doubter but 4 goals. Always been a fan of JSOS - great to see him shine. Fantastic from Gov, Newman, Acres early, TDK and then the usual Charlie Cripps and Walsh. Paddy a serviceable sub!
Any idea about how bad the injuries are? H, Owies and possibly Gov and Cerra?
Looking for any hope in this regard...

While we were kicking 6 goals a game and a complete mess of a side a kid like Motlop as a small forward had no hope. Now we are playing normal footy again (normal + actually) Motlop's talents can shine.

You could be right jim.

I dont know about the term 'normal footy' ... but, yeah I sorta do, but I'd call it Blues Footy....sounds like Bruise Footy, and that's what the opposition should be thinking when they play us....I get normal like last year when we were hot. Lets hope we keep this up and turn this into a dynasty far greater than our last few (60's 70's 80's 90's)

Mine has been stuck on 5th for a few weeks, with an outside chance of fourth.
We can beat any team if we bring our best version of ourselves...I get it.

Lets keep bringing the best version of ourselves for the rest of the year.
Harry will be back, and we will keep winning in time for him then Kennedy.
Come on Footy gods...

I count 4 of their goals were not frees, including 4 of their misses from frees. FMD

We should've won by 12-15 goals.

What an enjoyable day at the footy.
The crowd was up and about and so loud.
Great team performance.
Hope Harry is ok. Fox footy saying likely a Medial but could mean the season over for him.
Please re-sign TDK. JSOS and McGovern.

Everybody is naming thee usual suspects but there is one other.

KEMP, gets better by the week.

I am waiting till someone such as Marchbank will stay fit, hoping!, and Kemp can play either further forward or on ball.
