Great team
Performance was terrific
Whole team
Performance
Great pressure tackling and grit best win for ages
Good to see Motlop get back in
Lost H and lost Owies
Great game JSOS Cripps McGovern Newman
Another game into cunningham and martin

Kemp Sink and Boyd unsung in new backline formation

Ray needs to retire terrible umpiring
Allir holding Charlie all game the reason he went one handed to mark the other was being held

Great team win. Thought we were a shout but didn’t ever think he’d demolish them like that.
The pressure and tackling was top notch. Grit and determination was there.
Didn’t have a bad player on night.
JSOS probably best game of his career.
Really important win in terms of enlivening our finals chances.
Overall great day at the footy.

When was the last time The Blues won 4 games in a row at 50pts or more?

Even in 95 it was mostly around 30 from memory.

In 2000 we had a long winning streak of around 14 … I recall some big wins during that run. Kouta was ballistic during some of those games. Gave Daniel Chick at the hawks a bath at the G and did the same to Carey at PP!

He did his best to keep them in the game - think he gave them at least 6 shots on goal - luckily they were off target.

we’re 6th on the Cup betting line…!

seriously though…the umps really slid one in didn’t they…!

they got caught with the ball so many times…and dropping…!

Pros:

Tackling, smothers and pressure.
Ball movement.
9 goalkicers.
SOJ, Acres, Charlie, McGovern, Walsh, Newman, Docherty, Motlop. Saad.
Loved the way TDK competed.
Boyd gets better every week.

Cons:

Some cheap frees to PA in their forward 50.
Harry's injury.
Kemp was beaten by his opponent. Like his aggression but needs to make better decisions about when to spoil, especially if he's playing against taller opponents.
Weiters had a terrific game, but his kicking out of defensive 50 was pretty average.

Now that I've watched the replay, a big con is that Boyd will be out for at least 1 maybe 2. Dump tackled Byrne - Jones who went off concussed. Probably gets 2

It's probably 1 week but because the victim has 2 surnames it gets doubled

Always dangerous against Port's team of two dads.

Best win in a long long time
Because we lost clearances by one Cripps Walsh and Cerra had quiet games
Yet won by 50 points
Everyone contributed
For too long we have relied on too few
Totally different story yesterday

Still can’t believe how well we played yesterday. Bizarro Carlton

We needed a scalp and to right some wrongs.

Fingers crossed that Harry’s injury is not serious.

Got absolutely raped by the umps too. One of the worst officiated games involving us I can remember. Putrid. Charlie would kick 8 goals a game if he received what was paid against us in the D50.

This could be the making of JSOS
He will be high on belief and confidence now
And hard to see the MC dropping him again

We need to win 4 of the last 6 games and we just scrape it in I reckon.
7th by my ladder predictor.

What a great game from the whole team. The turnaround is fair dinkum now. 2 points out of the 8. Should be in the 8 by this time next week.

Pros:
pressure
Tackling
JSOS
Jesse
McGov
TDK
All played their best games for the year if not careers
I was there to enjoy it

Cons:
BlAcres kicking is woeful
Paddy Dow - I want him to make it so bad, but he's just not going to. His disposal and decision making is not AFL level and will never be. It's like he has no depth perception
Injuries. Injuries ffs. Injuries :banghead:

Acres: some kicks were bad. Not all.
Had 17 kicks 7 handballs. 67% efficiency
567 metres gained, and one of our best: Top 5 players

It is ok Paddycripps. I got it, I noticed it too.
