For me below,
1; SPS, for obvious reasons.
Quick, skilled, touch of arrogance and adds class to a poor midfield.

2; Charlie Curnow, could be anything.
Kicks goals, has the tank to run through the midfield, skilled and good decision maker.

3; Caleb Marchbank, completes our backline.
Bid tank, good decision maker, skilled, reads the play well and can shutdown an opponent.

4; Harry McKay, the key forward we need asap.
Good skill set, athletic, will own our forwardline.

Apologies to,
Pickett, Cuningham, Fisher and Lebois.
Hoping all these boys can step up.

Pickett.

Just on Pickett, anyone know if hes doing the full pre season? Im confident SPS will be a quality player but if Pickett comes good for us we could turn things around quicker than we hope.

I agree with this. Could be a huge difference maker for us. The need for a quality KPF are pretty obvious. And the whispers coming out of the club are pretty bullish. Even though we haven't actually seen much from him yet, the fact that his twin brother is developing so well at NM makes me pretty optimistic.

This is the reason I went with McKay.
The need for a key forward is massive.
If players like,
Pickett, Cuningham and Fisher come on quick, things may change faster than we think.

The 4 that I am most excited about and looking forward to,

1 - Zac Fisher - I love these inconspicuous types who don't look like much but can play the game. And Zac looks like one of those types. Zippy and can find / distribute the ball. Obviously still needs to develop physically but exactly the mid we needed to build on the existing group

2 - Sam Petrevski-Seton - obvious choice with the elite level skill and talent deserving of such a high pick. I also love his focus and perseverance. Has already been on a hell of a journey to get to where he is and with that experience you can see him making every post a winner!

3 - Kym Le Bois - super skilled and the small forward we desperately need back at our club. From the write ups pre-draft I was hoping we could nab him with our 3rd round pick if lucky. To get him in the RD was phenomenal!

4 - Jarrod Pickett - another super-skilled player. If he can overcome the foot injury and be in physical condition to play AFL then we have scored big time! The talent and ability is absolutely there and with scope to play predominately midfield could really transform our midfield group

Still plenty of candidates available but these are the four that have me excited!!! :smoking:

1) J.Silvagni: I expect Jack to be our leading goalkicker this year, and to start becoming a leader to our other youngsters.
2) SPS: "Ski-Seat" (Petrevski-Seton, see what I did there?) will play plenty of seniors this year and will add some much needed quality delivery to our forwards.
3) Marchbank: Will help to further tighten up our defense and help to curb gorilla duds from having their one day out against us.
4) C.Curnow: If he can stay fit, I expect Charlie to play predominantly seniors this year. His consistency will be sporadic, but he'll show enough to get us excited.

I'm a bit more conservative in my expectations, so I don't expect to see a great deal of McKay, Pickett or our remaining 2016 draftees (with the possible exception of A.Silvagni to fill a gap down back) this season.

Too early for the 2016 picks apart from Petrovski-Seton maybe so

Curnow C

SOJ

Weitering

McKay

in no particular order. They all have huge upside IMHO

and maybe/hopefully Cuningham

There you go 6 in to 4.

Cunningham

The first three pick themselves it seems from above.
Cunningham showed a glimpse of what he might be able to do and I am hoping he can do it. We need outside run apart from the obvious selections.

And this is really the same thread as the 5-50 gamers one below as far as I can tell.

Nice to see weitering beyond a mention having just turned 19.
SPS is up there but probably 6 months away.
Harry McKay is ready to go. Expect him to make a difference!
Not sure Kym is ready this year but 2018 could be big.
Kerr is one that may surprise a few, smart lad and good leadership potential.

The fact that there's probably 6 or 7 to choose from.

Sumner.

We need these four to become quality best 22 players as much as we need Curnow, Marchbank, McKay and Samo to become stars.

Curnow is the X factor and a beast who could be the Cripps of our front half. Can see Charlie having a breakout year like Cripps did in his second season.

LeBois, I've still not gotten over Eddie and Jeffey
SPS, I'm always nervous about our early picks
Kerr, passion for the jumper and a true Carlton legacy
The Big Mc, needs to be better than Moore and Daniher

Cripps
The Doc
Weiters
... and
SPS

Think about this. It's been a long time since we had 3 that we ARE excited about.. rather than HOPING we will be excited about them.

What constitutes a kid? The whole list are freakin' kids from my point of view.

From that point of view, Murphy, Gibbs, Armfield and Rowe.
