Don't envy Voss. Had to leave Young out to make a statement (again) but in doing so leaves us vulnerable in the air.
Get Ben McKay I say.
Poor Weiters is going to pull his hair out tomorrow.

Do we really want Ben McKay? Isn’t he just another injury prone player who will spend more time in rehab than playing?

there's a good article floating around about how both those mckay brothers look like tarzan, play like jane. conditional players, not consistent, and overall, soft.

it's impossible to argue with.

Fogarty has earned his chance . Reckon he will surprise and do well in a part of the ground we have been lacking . Like the way Fog goes about it . He is hard and he's got ticker .

I met Fog during Covid when, unbeknown to me, I shouldnt have been at Ikon Park. He was built like a Geelong Brick shithouse. Solid, fit, and friendly.

Over time I recognised some of his shortfalls: Can't kick further than 35m from goal, is not good at the spread in the midfield, and not quick around the ground for a mid.

This year I watched him 5-6 VFL games live and seen all the games he's played when inculding TV, and this last month he is so hungry and will not be beaten at the contested ball: Tom Mitchell like.

I had written Fog off 2 years ago, but for the last 4 weeks I have been in support for his return to win that hard nut and distribute. Not only that, his tackling is first class and he doesnt let the opposition mids get the easy ball out of the contest.

He thoroughly deserves this opportunity to help us win that contested ball. Crippa and Hewett have found a bit difficult to win the hard ball in the last 8 weeks, and Kennedy hasnt had the opportunity he deserves.

IMO, we only need 2 of those types, but Fog will add something tenacious we have lacked and should make a huge difference for our mids. Cerra and Walsh will love receiving from Fog. He's smart and surprises with creative handball.

Good luck to him. He's playing for his career.

We really need Young to perform one simple task: punch the ball away from the KPF. Period.

I hope this doesnt bite us like it did against Swans a couple rounds ago

Poor Weiters. He will take King.

193cm Kemp and 190cm Gov are midgets against 200cm King and Levi: One of Gov and Kemp will be the lucky to take on the inform, hard running 195cm Lucosius.

FMD, I hate these kind of mismatches.

Lets hope our mids have a defensive mindset this week, because the GCS mids are going to lob it high and long whenever they get the chance

If we play well enough Levi and King won’t get any effective supply…..if.

I reckon we bypass the ruck altogether and just play a third rover in the middle.

..and seniors are on tomorrow.

No idea why they couldn’t give at least one of the three half a game today.

Maybe we have more changes tomorrow.
Doubt it, you make a good point though.

But we haven't got Razor Ray or Eleni.

Winds up to 45 km/h. Ball will be on the deck a lot. Who has the skills?

Yikes….

the weather may help us…just kick it along the ground….
keep moving it forward at all times…David Parkin style…!

I’d like to see one quarter where they don’t kick
backwards…they can only handball it backwards…but
never kick…!

couldn’t make much difference…!

kindest regards tommi
