I know, it is hard.

Here, I'll start...

Cerra (has been really good)
Charlie (equal in Coleman, so he's done his bit)

Kemp has shown a bit
Hollands looks a really good prospect

Binns (hasn't even played a game, that's how bad we are faring LOL)

That's it

I have been very positive all year . Glass half full . But i am afraid everything evaporated at the ten minute mark of the first quarter against the Dees . Its scorched earth for me . In my eyes the season starts against the Dons this week . Voss is auditioning for his job as far asa'm concerned . So i will wait and see . Reckon i'm being a bit harsh ? probably but i have a heap of diehard mates who feel exactly the same as me . So many of my mates would quite happily put a broom through the joint and start again . Couldn't care less if it means four more years of pain .

And another thing , Sayers and Cook need to read the tea leaves coz if not they will be rattling tins in a couple of years . If we don't see something a lot of my diehard mates WILL be dropping out . They have said that before like myself but this time it is for real . Good luck to the membership department .

Really good point

My family used to laugh when I would talk about Carlton

Now they just look at me like I am an idiot (for wasting my time on this club)

There's not a lot of them.

Agree Cerra has been a shining light in a struggling midfield.

Charlie has been ok but he has really dropped off since the West Coast game, like the rest of the team.

Kemp has been ok. Not sure he's the talent we hoped he'd be. Not sure what his best position is.

Hollands was great early and I agree, looks a really good prospect. I love his 2 way running. Some of his defensive efforts have been fantastic. I'm sure we'll Carltonise him though.

I've loved watching Alex Cincotta get his chance at senior level. He has more than held his own and is a proper feel good for story.

I also think Motlop has shown improvement. He's got a long way to go but he has improved. We want him to be the next Eddie or to do what Kosi Pickett has done for Melbourne. I don't know that he ever gets to that level. Improvement none the less and when everyone else has gone backwards, that is a positive

That's about it for me

Charlie
Kemp Hollands
Hopefully Binns
Cowan
Cincotta better than I expected
Crowds given we are the 14 th side and play selfish stodgy football without scoring

Not much else

Not much to be positive about so far this season.
Cerra
Hollands
Charlie

Record membership

That is about it.

Absolutely stuff all to be happy about so far but I’ll try
Cerra - taken game to next level, would be leading BnF
Charlie - continued high level of form from last year and potentially on track for more goals in a side that moves the ball at glacial speed
Newman - improved on last year, good lock down roles
Introduction of a few younger guys - Hollands, Cowan, Kemp
Cincotta looks ok

Cerra
has taken his game to another level. He's done that on his own.
He's increased his speed and his foot passing. He handballs the ball with a backward spin. Loved him even more than last year.
The best thing is I can see where he's going to get better.

Walsh
he has made a steady return from serious back surgery, fusing bones, and he's still running.
He's going to have games where he doesn't have the influence we expect.
I can see how he's going to get better

2022 Crop of kids
Hollands
has been a revelation. the kid can run and defend.
He's going to get better after the next preseason. Past LON
Cowan.
He is a tough kid, whose plays tight. He can play.
Watched him in the VFL, and finally showing that run we know he has.
He's going to continue to grow this year playing against men.
After the next preseason he's our HBF.
Binns
Ive become a recent fan. Only 3 weeks. He can run and link up well. Accumulates.
Wtached his first 4 games live and thought he had a long way to go.
He's shorter than I'd like on a wing, but he just gets the ball and connects.
He will break into the team this year, and after the next preseason, he too will pass LOB.
Cincotta
we all knew he was a mature player and ready to play. He's got games, and deserves to be in the team.
Run and carry is his game, but he tackles and bumps hard.
He's a Geelong Falcons product and he's a sure bet.

Boyd and Cottrell
are back and running well after being out injured all year
They are finding their feet again and ware helping us, and will be a hit.
Both are hard at the ball, and both run hard and link up well in chains.
Pity they didn't return to the team in the form they were in in round 23 & 23.

Saad
continues to be the best HBF in the AFL after his AA year.
The stats say he's top of his tree, despite being tagged or ignored by his team mates.
Our most reliable player.

Record Membership.
90,000 is an amazing number.
I signed up 4 new Carlton Members this year, and they love being part of a noisy army.
We are part of something special, and we will keep building together till we win our 17th.

Positives? I think not. Sell it how you like, call me a glass half type of guy, hell, call me anything you wish, I don’t give a damn. The facts are, this club has underachieved and is going backwards at a huge rate, and is fractured. To make things worse, come end of the year, we will lose more talent and all due to lack of success and future vision. We will also lose a lot more members then imagined.
So for me, there is no I in team - so no individual positives.

The sooner the club understand and realise this and stops with the positive re-enforcement jargon, the better!

If that’s your glass half full version it’s a good thing you’re not self identifying as a glass half empty type!

Like I said - if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy or whatever, call me what you like and say what you like. Just so others also didn’t get it the first time.

Ps. As if I didn’t know you’d be one of the firsts......

I have my weekends back because I’ve stopped watching and following until this club gets its act together.
We gain some respect last year … back to having opposition supporters pity us.
Duck off not interested in pity I want to be hated!!!

Jeez you’ve got a glass jaw.

Maybe have a read over what you’ve written.

You do realise that “glass half full” means “optimist” yeah?

Don’t think anyone in here’s accusing you of that hence my post. :donk:

Don’t mind this list - and would add improvement from Newman, definite signs from Kemp when the 3rd tall and…….
Paddy Dow got a 38% game time :)
