The Dees look decidedly average at the moment.

If we decide to pull our fingers out we may have a chance.

I can totally see us winning this, then losing to Essendon* & the gold coast

Can't wait to hear Voss's excuse for not picking Dow.
I wonder if any journos will have the balls to call him out.

I don't get it...Our midfield is struggling at the moment, and I doubt Voss pick him even without Cerra and Hewitt.
Even if he does by chance pick him will he give him a 5 game run to adjust to the tempo doubt it.

Look at Parish and Davis Uniacke they looked average until 60-80 games. Seems odd to invest 60+ games into a young kid then move him on when he should be starting to hit his straps.

Sydney looked very sketchy.

There can be nothing more certain than Carlton will play Melbourne into some form.

Goody would have looked at the schedule and said "You little ripper!"

If Cripps and Kennedy are in, Dow is out. Sub at most.

Doc or Walsh steps into Hewett’s spot.
Cincotta & Cowan both in to cover Newman & Doc. Fisher, if it’s Walsh stepping in.
Binns would be good, though O’Brien might be just the same. Might be both if Cerra doesn’t get off.

The opposition’s stoppage game will be to get the ball into the second level. Turn our mids around & take it away. Dow can’t help against that. Moving Cripps or Kennedy won’t help against that.

Made a change... two in fact ... think JSOS probably needs a bit of time in the VFL to figure out how to play defense. And think Binns must come in.

Hollands (BINNS)
Hewett (Dow)
Newman (Cincotta)
Cerra (Fisher)

Did you watch the reserves?
SOS wasnt that great.

There's a highlights package on the website. Notice they dont show the result of some of his kicks, and if that's his highlight package, which part impressed you?

Agree

JSOS didnt set the world on fire either.
Some of his field passing wasnt great, under no pressure.

Binns has to get a go. Replace inj Holland
Dow for Hewett
Hope Cerra will play
Cincotta for Newman

Fogarty Young Silvagni Fisher all in consideration

Question is not directed at me Bondi but i will answer it all the same . What i like is Jack is one of the few in our side that smother's the ball off the boot . Small thing i know but its desperate stuff like that that should set the tone for everyone . Reckon we need to brush up on those small little things in our game IE blocking , shepherding etc etc . Lets go back to the basics and i reckon things grow from that .

That's how I see it.

Have to wait to see the outcome of the Cerra appeal.
I'm not confident he will get off ... yeah he didnt lock his arms in and Hickey couldve got rid of the ball....

Lets wait and see.

I dont think we have a choice but to play Young in the KPD role. Kemp and Gov are too short for KPD roles.

Need Cincotta's run.
I dont think Gov provides run, nor is he taking intercept marks, but he can drill a 50m pass.

The problem we have is that we need 2 rucks and we need another tall defender given the Gawn/Grundy rucks-changing-forward structure of the opposition. But Young who would be the obvious choice to come in down back was in ordinary form and didn't impress in the 2s, Sam Durdin is still out injured, Marchbank still short a run or 2 and probably not big enough, JSOS not big enough and though he did some good things in the 2s he also did some ordinary stuff with his disposal and hard hands when trying to mark. It seems to me we need to take a punt on one of these options or try TDK or Harry down back as an experiment but none of them really appeal to me. The only other option as I see it is to have Weitering outsized on the resting ruck and then the domino effect of being outsized at CHB as well with whoever we play there. It is i real problem as I see it with no obvious solution.

In the midfield we may be forced to inject some run and speed which may prove to be a silver lining to the injury cloud.

So you're advocating the Essendon* model?
