I like how we play the same system across firsts and reserves. Get it and kick the @#$%&! out of it and hope the big boys mark it so they can miss the set shot. VFL side even went as far as finding a bloke unable to kick the footy to be captain so we have that consistency

We try hard but not good enough
All this talk we are good enough is crap
Club needs to reset
So many average players with poor skill
Collingwood put the que in the rack early

I listened on radio so can only go on the tony liberatore "feeling", but seemed to follow the regular template. Jumped early than laboured manfully for little reward

Yep Hore (not sure of spelling) and Moore had a field day

It's truly is garbage. You would think that after the first half a dozen times the penny would drop.

Dumb football

Ah well looks like it’s another 5 year rebuild then - only had 4 of them since 2002.

Whilst other clubs take 2 and three years to pick themselves out of the gutter of 17th and 18th place - we take 5 years and the best we can do is finish 9th.

Darcy Moore 25 touches - 17 intercepts

What do we do? BombBombBombBombBomb

Do we have nothing else?

Sat next to Pies CEO all game

Their perspective:
1) couldn’t believe how bad our execution is
2) and no connection
3) lack of ball pressure

Way too easy

Believe their heroes at Collingwood are the underestimated coaching assistants and suggest this is where Voss needs much greater support.

Where do we start
It’s quite obvious there needs to be changes made Voss can’t overlook Dow / Binns / kemp any longer
Voss needs to play players where there strengths are for example why have cottrell playing as a defensive forward when he’s strength Is he running ability so play him on a wing
We are slow to many same type of players
Cripps has become a liability to us I think Kennedy has nearly become our best midfielder
For me I would bring
In Kemp out gov
In Dow and fish out two of the small forwards
In Binns out Acres
In TDK out JSOS

Our coaching panel are brain dead except for Hansen.

Voss has lost the players - he needs to go.

Appoint Hansen now.

Aaron "presence" hamill. Coaching players to have no "presence"

Isn't Hansen the forwards coach?

I wonder if a large part of it is lack of footy IQ.
Plus the coaching. Coll seem to be clear of what to do when and much they flick the switch from attack to defence instantly as required.
We stop when we should go; go when we should stop. Kick long when we should go short, and vice versa.
Looks like we’re thinking too much where Collingwood was ‘doing’.
Esp in the 1st quarter, they’d go for the ball and we’d wait for them to get the ball and then try to tackle.

I know Jack is required for ruck duties but the time has come to replace him. The modern game is too fast for a player that has poor disposal and not a good kick on goal. TDK would be a better option even though I think TDK should get a run playing CHB.

I've been patient on McGovern but he is weak and wont put his body on the line. If you are up to it go and watch his effort in the 3rd that allowed the Pies to kick their one and only goal. Kemp should be playing his role.

Acres - still not convinced.

Hollands needed a rest 3 weeks ago.

Not sure why Cottrell was used in defence early, he would have been the only one that could have gone with Sidebottom early when he was carving us up.

The intent shown was OK.

Execution between the backline to midfield and forwards..... unacceptable.

Execution, Execution and execution.

Its explicable and unacceptable.

I just dont know where too from here.

I'm completely deflated

Sadly, I wasn't the least bit upset at this result. Jumped early (no surprise there) Pies then drop it back a gear and hold us at arms length. We battle hard but execution and system let us down. Same old same old.

I don't know how much ball Cerra got, but gee his execution is often very ordinary. JSOS tries hard, but awful use of the ball, nearly got Cripps killed with one kick he dumped on his head. A liability in the ruck, must go for TDK.

Gov awful. Dow must get a run.

I only saw a quarter and a half of the VFL match, but as has been said, very similar "game plan". Bomb it long. Classic kick and hope bush football. This from a supposed professional football club.

It's deja vu all over again. Crap skills, crap game plan, crap recruiting.

We were never in the game.

Only opp we had was when pies went a bit Hollywood as leppitsh called out at half time.

Only three positives,

Charlie tried his guts out
Harry tried his guts out
Cerra

Walsh looks a shadow. Pitto was already slow but he is tractor slow now.
Jacob is still wondering where his money is.

I always thought mick Martyn was our worst pick up, but I’m now certain is was and is McGovern. He is the softest footballer I have seen in my life…even Ryan Houlihan was harder!

Oh and btw is there an easier player in the league to tag than Saad.

Heartbreaking reality is we are bog ordinary at many levels, coaching down. Miles from being even a competent AFL level on field program. Major issues everywhere. Finals are a pipe dream.

I think us rusted on members and lifelong supporters have been more than patient with the club. I for one can’t put up with the overall inept package we have been delivering since post bye last year. For mine, the club and Sayers should not overestimate what patience we have left.
