I'm a long-time Dow sceptic as many of you would know, but if ever there was a game to try him, it's this one. The Swans will want a stoppage-rich game, and we'll have a huge height advantage in our forward line so inaccurate bombing will be more effective in this game than most (remembering North Melbourne, just need to cut out the early lethargy).

In case anyone was wondering, it hasn't rained in Sydney for a few weeks and there's none forecast this week either. Ground will be as dry as a bone.

Dow's kicking is average, but then so is almost everyone elses in the club.

On the basis you've outlined, I think he really really should get another go at it.

And not just a one-and-done. Play him for a month and see how he settles into it.

I would keep Durdin in but I favour BV's idea of giving him a run in the middle. All our mids are about the same height. We lack a genuine rover

No one should be immune from being dropped if their form is not up to it. Durdin and Motlop have done very little since their inclusion. Dow and Binns have been consistent all year and deserve a chance. I don't care about positions. Players play all over the ground. Get the weak players out and the best performing twos in and work it out.

All good points but do we really want to play Binns and Dow in the forward pocket? They’re not really like for like replacements are they?

I dont think Swans have any rucks to call on, so maybe we dont need too many talls, or we do and stretch them.

McAndrew, McLean and Ladhams all played against North. Hickey likely to return from concussion, Ladhams 50/50 with the ankle complaint, likely swap.

That's good for the Swans on paper.
They are short of their tall KPD's, and it all starts from the backline for them.

Ladhams will be a liability to Swans if he's selected to play. Hopefully. He's playing sore. Sore spots everywhere: arm leg knee shoulder ,bloody hell he's been through a lot.

Hickey isnt anywhere near 2022 form. But he competes. His body is failing him.
Hayden McLean is big, not ruck size, and McAndrew. He's raw but he competes.
Franklin.

They are not in good form.
They have a few good players but arent gelling. That's mainly due the personnel missing.
Our talls have them covered with or without TDK.

Home game for them. They have to come out to play.
This will be a serious test for Vossy's team.

His effort in the first quarter when he stuck his arm out rather than take body contact
The ball went over the back
You simply can’t have players getting away with that if you want a good culture

Was going through some Stats for this year so far, and immediately I picked up something quite Alarming.....

1- Our Ruckmen have only kicked 1 Goal for the entire Season between them. This Proves that Pittonet is not working hard enough and is not pushing forward to provide an alternative Target to the Big 2 Boys. De Koning was also not hitting the Scoreboard when he was in the Team. Appalling effort

2- Our midfielders are not kicking enough Goals at all. There is far too much reliance on the Two Towers.

What on earth are the Coaching Panels doing about it? :banghead: :banghead:

Excellent spotting!

I’ve sent your post to them.

No doubt now that they realise the issue they’ll fix it for next week.

Good job!

If I heard what I think I heard about Pittonet our List Mgt team are appallingly stupid.

Several piss weak efforts from him, I really do hope they take a stance.

Harry and Charles desperately need a chopout . Jack is in the doldrums . Gov just don't cut it down there . Time to give Kemp a go . Good hands , height and mobility . And a good roost ................. the little blokes are just not getting it done .

Durdin and Motlop have been poor in their positioning. Durdin has worked hard to impact the game.

These guys are NEVER front and centre of the forwards where they should be. Always outnumbered and outskilled at the fall of the ball and if Charlie or Harry don't mark/free kick, they are nowhere to be seen.

It's a hard trade to find form in if you aren't ever in the right spots.

We either have dumb players, dumb coaches, a dumb gameplan or all of the above

We are dumb.

Because we have no system for entering F50

Poor bastards are running around like headless chooks having to guess where to go.

Alternatively they run to the pack that our 3 talls are all jumping into at the same time and then we have 4, 5 maybe 6 players all there and then we lose the contest because we spoil each other and the opposition can easily sweep the ball away because we have no forward anywhere else to defend the turnover.

Then they get shit canned for having no forward pressure or not locking the ball in our front half.

They are on a hiding to nothing.
